Stay for the history, not the service. The hotel has a unique history and is in an excellent location for sightseeing and shopping. First opened in 1917 with an eclectic modern European style as the Grand Hôtel de Pékin, the hotel was once the largest and best-equipped in Beijing. It has accommodated illustrious writers such as Rudyard Kipling, Noël Coward, and George Bernard Shaw, as well as royals like Princess Anne and Prince Albert of Monaco. It was also where Chairman Mao Zedong celebrated the inauguration of the People's Republic of China in 1949. For the most part, the service is poor, so go with low expectations. The pool is severely dated and unpleasant. The room was dated but reasonably spacious and comfortable. The Writer’s Bar was a highlight and has an extensive cocktail menu. However, be warned that the kitchen closes at 8:30 PM, so unfortunately, we missed out on dining in.

Great location! Beijing Nuo is connected to Beijing Hotel. I am actually not sure which part is newer. Right on the corner of Wangfujing and ChangAn road. We were able to walk to Tian A Men and the palace. The rooms are great size and very clean. We also received a bowl of fruit on arrival. Lots of complimentary bottled water. There seems for very few plugs and we kept getting two sets of towels for three people despite asking for more. The pool is highly regulated and seems to be run by another company. We had to purchase swim caps which I was told is the norm in China. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the Beijing Nuo.

One issue was that as weather was unstable in April, some days being hot, hotel had this cold air conditioning turned off until May. Therefore on those hot days, we were unable to bring down the room temperature, it went as high as 27 degrees. Hotel provided a fan but still not a very good experience as ventilation wasn’t good and fan was noisy. Other than that, staffs were friendly, room was nice and clean, the aesthetics were really pretty, had a variety for breakfast. Location was convenient as well, steps away from the metro, we upgraded to the view with Changan street.

It is an old hotel but the hotel is located at a strategic place. It is close to the palace museum. The room service is good.

Very nice hotel with long history! It's always a pleasure to stay in such buildings. The reception and concierge service are very friendly and professional, speaking English fluently. Very unique atmosphere inside, worth experimenting!

辦理入住時，前台工作人員特意給我們換了朝長安街的房間。酒店位置沒得説，出門轉彎王府井步行街，門口走幾步就是地鐵站。酒店有點年代了，設施設備舊一點，但是很整潔，四層的保潔姐姐特別好，一天來清理幾次，還給我們送好多礦泉水，説因為前段時間換管道自來水不是太乾淨，讓我們喝礦泉水。整個酒店裡的服務員都客客氣氣的，還有周邊商店很多，外賣非常方便。

這個酒店太好了，出門王府井天安門非常方便。更主要服務特別棒，經理Gavin給人賓至如歸的感覺，很細心地給我們講解了酒店，併為我們和外賓安排了系列的服務。Lucky和Jerry也一直不厭其煩為我們調整發票抬頭，太棒了！！！

設施：特別好！提醒一下，住北京飯店諾金，一定選“雅頌”房，有新中式的感覺；或者是選緊鄰雅頌的諾金房，也是有裝修過的感覺。 其他的房間，參觀過，尤其是一些歐式的老房間，年代感太強了，有斑駁感…… 衞生：非常好 環境：好，窗外是長安街，窗户都是封閉窗 服務：好，提名感謝酒店大門口的禮賓小杜，態度非常好。還有5樓不知名的兩位客房服務員姐姐，態度非常好。
