Hi Ma Ma Yunduan Lianxin Valley

One of the best places I have visited for a short vacation around Beijing. Service is excellent. Already decided to come back again. Highs: - Wonderful ambience, property is located in a valley surrounded by mountains with Great Wall in sight - Family friendly, lots of amenities and activities for kids - Smart toilets which is not that common to see in other hotels - Very service oriented staff, always ready to help you and go extra mile Lows: - Room cleaning staff could have done better. They only changed the dustbin, that’s it . I had to ask them to come again to clean and tidy the room. - Some bugs occasionally creep in the room. But I don’t mind considering we are sourround literally by so many trees. - Breakfast is mostly Chinese, with only a few western options. In-house restuarant mostly serve Chinese food.

Have a bug in bed but overall everything amazing

We were looking for a getaway from the city vacations and this is definitely the place. The room was clean and neat, towels changed every day. I was concerned about the meals not being up to our expectations, but I couldn't be more wrong. It's Chinese cuisine but not spicy as I expected and there's a big variety of dishes to choose from. A bit pricey though if you go on tight budget, but DELICIOUS. Breakfast, however was average, not many options, but coffee was decent. Bottom line a great experience, loved the pool and the attention from the staff was 10 out of 10. A big THANK YOU to all the hotel workers. Will be definitely recommending the place.

Our stay at Hi Ma Ma was nice. We were there on a week day and it was very quiet. Room was clean and tidy. Only negative point: no cold water in the shower and the bathtub. Breakfast was average.

Overall great stay. The pool is great, the garden is great and in a good location in the mountains. We also had dinner at the restaurant, which was really good (especially the fish)

Very friendly staff and the location was great to explore the Great Wall via foot. The hotel also offers a great indoor playground for kids, outside as well… the Food was really tasty. Overall great stay - only the bathroom was smelling and we hat some bugs in the room what made our stay a little bit uncomfortable (even though the room was well decorated and had a nice view towards the Great Wall…)

It was our second stay in this hotel and we will come back again. Staff is very friendly and helpful, we had a great time at the swimming pool and the food was excellent.

Relax, Swim, Dine under the gaze of the Great Wall! We had a perfect weekend trip to XXX – We went for two nights with our two-year old and loved our bright and spotless room (complete with a bathtub and big cavernous) and views of the Great Wall. We kept busy with lots of activities we could do together, including taking a dip in the pools (there’s a deeper one for adults, and a shallower option for kids) with plenty of sunshine, lounge chairs, and umbrellas. There’s also an outdoor playground for kids in addition to an indoor space, with toys, books, a ball pit, etc., which was nice for escaping from the sunshine when needed. The grounds are gorgeous with lots of places to walk around. The food was also fantastic. There are two different rooftop spots with great views of the Wall or pools, and spacious indoor eating options too. You can have either a Chinese or Western breakfast, and there are lots of tasty options for lunch and dinner (try the wood ear mushroom dish!). The staff was incredible friendly (especially with our toddler). We will definitely go back with other families ASAP. Had a blast!

We visited this hostel during the May holiday in 2021 and found it whilst looking for somewhere to get away to during the busy weekend. Thankfully it did not disappoint! Location: Located a valley away from Mutianyu Great Wall, the location of this place is fantastic. You can walk through the tees and mountains all the way up to the Great Wall, it takes about 1 hour and is not a difficult climb. The surrounding area is remote but has a few amenities, such as a few hotels and activities you can do. You can also see parts of unkempt Great Wall on the mountain tops, which is incredible. Room: The room was lovely and clean with a huge bath and an electronic toilet (quite the experience!). Inside the room there toiletries, tea & coffee, and some fresh fruit. The bed was large and soft, and the room had effective air conditioning. Facilities: The hotel’s grounds are on the side of a mountain with a few different levels. There is a playground for kids, an outdoor infinity pool and plenty of places to sit. The bottom level has an all-day restaurant with drinks and food available. Staff: The staff were super helpful and friendly, we were checked in promptly and even shown the exact place to follow the trail up to the Great Wall. The waiting staff were also really friendly. Food: We had an evening meal in the restaurant and breakfast the next day. The food in the evening was seriously good, a great selection of dishes, with some local dishes available as well. Also, cold beer! Always a plus. The breakfast was pretty good but a little cold when it came out, we chose to have the western breakfast. The coffee was very good. Overall, we had a lovely stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for a trip out of the city. The owner also speaks some English which is awesome!
