Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Beckley, WV

Overall clean hotel with very convienent location. Breakfast choices were a bit limted to prepackaged items. Also, the room was not too great. Matrices need replacement, just awful. Shower head height was made for a 4 foot child or handicapped person, it could not be adjusted up for an adult. Water pressure terrible. This is a popular hotel location so be prepared for parking challenges.

Staff was polite and accommodating. Hot breakfast was good in my option with several options. Would stay here again.

I have stayed in some not-so-great places before, but this takes the cake. The woman who checked us in, Crystal, was rude and disinterested in customer service. Acted annoyed with having to deal with the guests the entire time. When we got in our room, I did a check for bed bugs like always. I didn't find any, but under one mattress we found what looked like a crime scene. I don't profess to know what the substance was and I don't want to. The room was filthy, all the linens were stained, dust and dirt everywhere. Accumulated, not new. Then we found ants crawling on the furniture and on us. Three towels for the five of us. When my husband went to the desk and asked for more, he was again treated as if he was bothering the woman running the desk. We were offered another room, and the staff at the desk at that time were amazingly kind and helpful. I only know the name of one, Rene. We moved rooms at 10:30 pm. When I checked under the mattresses of this room, I found an empty mini bottle of vodka under one, and an open bar of soap under the other. I don't even want to know. We found a chewing tobacco can underneath one bed and a water bottle under the other one, along with hair, dirt, crumbs- you name it. One TINY trashcan for a suite that sleeps 5. We were given a discount, but the second room was no cleaner or better than the first- at that point we were just too tired to try to find another room. This place is beautiful on the outside, it's a shame it's not the same inside.

Ants in the room, carpet looked like it could be rolled it was so loose and there was mold around the pool

The hotel was super busy but the staff handled everything well. Everyone was quite friendly, will definitely return.

Free breakfast was decent. Staff was helpful. Room was decent. They had a pool that stayed open until 10pm. I didnt go swimming but it seemed most people that stayed was generally happy, which made the overall experience nice for us as well

The outside and reception is in decent condition . Check in was not a great experience. The toilet in the room was blocked and the phone broken . When reporting this to the reception , it took very long before we were assisted and the response not great . Room was moved as they didn’t have anyone to unblock the toilet. We were moved to an accessible room with no bath - they didn’t ask us if this was ok - very limited communication. Swimming area was dirty and need some maintenance. Room didn’t feel very clean . Decent breakfast . Check out was a pleasant experience

Nice place to stay during a travel route. Rooms are a little dated but clean. Breakfast was good but not outstanding. Front desk person was very tired from working 2 jobs but got us checked in very quickly. All in all not sure it was worth the $179 CDN.

For an overnight stay it’s ok. However the hotel is a little tired and needs some upgrades. Despite that the bed was comfortable and hotel was quiet. The staff are extremely friendly.
