Plenty of parking. Friendly and competent staff. Room clean and beds very comfortable. Bathroom sparking. Food typical of Toby Carvery, Breakfast and carvery very tasty and plentiful. Only negatives not enough drawer space and lack of good lighting over bedroom mirror.

Tried to charge me twice for the room, once by prepayment of credit card, and once when we checked in. Was told breakfast was included, it wasn't. Given the wrong room, and then after an hour of getting ready and unpacking, was asked to move to another room. Breakfast awful, all in all, a horrible experience.

in a good location right opposite Eden Park station and on a number of bus routes. Checking in was straightforward, staff were pleasant, helpful and efficient. The building is old but well maintained and the room was spacious and well-appointed. Comfortable bed and a good night’s sleep. Breakfast buffet is varied and plentiful. All staff were good and requests were fulfilled promptly. Overall, a good stay and a reasonable cost for this part of London.

Positives; My adult daughter and I stayed for 2 nights for a family party locally. We were very lucky that we were given one of the refurbished rooms. It was really nice, very comfortable and so quiet which was a surprise given its location. Parking was free for our two day visit which was excellent. The train station was 2 mins from hotel where we got a direct train into London which took 1/2 hour, really good. The negatives; We were surprised and disappointed when we got up the first morning for breakfast looking forward to a continental breakfast only to be told that had to be ordered the night before. That made no sense to us whatsoever as we’ve heard of a full English breakfast having to be prebooked in some establishments but never a continental?? Very strange. We hadn’t seen a sign anywhere. Neither of us wanted a cooked breakfast but the young girl serving was very good and offered us coffee, toast and cereal which we had.

Good value for money, good breakfast - staff a bit evasive and grumpy, not very welcoming on the check in day. Different staff at checkout, more friendly and polite. Good location, room was clean but really cold when we arrived. Electric radiators fixed this within 30 minutes. Bathroom is clean but water pressure is low or they use electric water heaters. Overall, an okay stay

We stayed at the Innkeeper's Lodge for 3 nights with a group of 16 teachers and 3 coach drivers. Staff was rather unfriendly, even on the first encounter. On the first morning we wanted to enter the breakfast area at 7, but we were 2 minutes early. Staff pointed at the clock and kept us waiting outside until 1 minute past 7. Then some of us sat down in a corner of the restaurant, but we weren't supposed to sit there and so a member of staff made that clear to us, but not without a deep sigh, she was annoyed and told her colleague while I was standing next to her. We left at 7.45h and didn't return until 10.15 in the evening. Instantly they made it clear to us that the pub closed at 11. I don't mind being told, but maybe a friendly word would have done the trick. On Saturday we again needed to have breakfast at 7 as our pupils were waiting for us, but on Friday a member of staff told us breakfast was served at 8 during the weekends. One of my colleagues asked whether it would be possible to just have some toast and marmelade at 7 then, nothing further, but there was no room for negotiation. Although we did pay in advance for 5 single rooms and 7 double rooms + breakfast they didn't even offer us a take-away sandwich. Rooms were just fine, but we won't be returning.
