Club Level was amazing! I wish I could afford it more. Great service. We had a them park view. It was nice to walk to Magic Kingdom in 10 mins. Hopefully some day I can go back!

This is my least favorite experience at a Deluxe resort at Disney, it was however the least expensive being in the Garden area on a deal from Disney. The pros are obviously location to MK, however I'd much rather stay at the Polynesian or Grand Floridian if the price is even remotely close.

Pros – walking distance to Magic Kingdom, great food at the quick service restaurants. Housekeeping does an excellent job we stayed club level, the variety of the food was really good and lots of things were available grab and go that other clubs don’t have at the ready. Cons: the design of the room is very sparse and there’s not a lot of storage. The club level lounge really struggled with cleanliness and the staff was not as interactive or proactive as that we have experience that other club level lounges on Disney property.

I recently spent three nights at the Contemporary with my wife, daughter, and father, and we had a disappointing experience. While I’ve always wanted to stay in the main tower of this iconic Disney resort, it was a total letdown. The hotel felt bland and disjointed, and poor service certainly didn't help. This was especially frustrating because we had paid extra to upgrade to a room on the Atrium Club Level and had expected an elevated experience. As background, we visit Walt Disney World somewhat frequently, and we almost always stay at one of the Deluxe Resorts. We keep returning because we enjoy the benefits, such as themed hotels in close proximity to the theme parks, theme park transportation, and extra hours in the parks. However, we stay at true luxury hotels on non-Disney trips, such as Four Seasons hotels and their competitors. The Deluxe Disney resorts can be similar in price to those hotels, but are nowhere close service-wise. We usually find that the Disney resorts still offer a nice enough experience to be worth it on balance, but that was not the case on this trip. Pre-Arrival Experience: Prior to our stay, I completed online check-in using the My Disney Experience app, so we could get a text message notification as soon as our room was ready and go directly there using the app or a MagicBand as a room key. Two days before our arrival, I also received a phone call from the Atrium Club to welcome us, ask if we had any questions, and inquire about any dietary restrictions. They said that when we arrived, someone from the club level would try to be in the main lobby to welcome us and escort us directly upstairs, but if not, we could go directly up to the club level. Arrival Experience: We had an early flight into Orlando, so we made it to the hotel by 10:15 am. We didn’t expect our rooms to be ready at that point, but we planned to drop our things off and get our infant daughter quickly changed before an afternoon in one of the theme parks. When we arrived at the hotel and entered the lobby, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it looked nicer than I recalled in the past when we had visited, and has been renovated with a mid-century modern look that works well with the 1970s version of “contemporary” that this original Disney World hotel embodies. There was an older gentleman in the lobby as a greeter, and he pointed us toward the front desk and kept saying we had to stop there. He didn’t seem to understand or hear when I explained that we were going to the Atrium Club and had already done online check-in. He was not welcoming or helpful, and he started things on a negative foot. We ended up going to the front desk as instructed, which was a waste of time. The front desk clerk was very nice, but he didn’t seem to be sure of himself, and had us repeat the entire check-in process all over again. He then directed us toward the elevators to go up to the 12th Floor Atrium Club to drop off our luggage. When we arrived at the Atr

We stay here whenever we visit, which is one to two times per year. I had an issue with a front desk clerk that was very upsetting. I called the number on the website and it went to a generic customer service line. I was very clear I wanted to speak to the hotel manager. Instead I received a call from someone (not the manager) . I explained my issue and restated my expectation to speak with the resort manager. I also emailed customer service with the same request because the person I spoke to seemed like she really did not care. Instead of a call, I received a poorly crafted AI generated email with the typical platitudes. You would think for 650 to 900 per night, the resort manager could be bothered to pick up a phone. We will no longer be visiting this resort.

We were so excited to stay at the original Disney World resort and were not disappointed. What an experience! We had a water view room in the main building - which was lovely. We could see the evening water show, and we did enjoy it every night! I had concerns because I had seen that rooms were small - but we did not see that. Our room seemed spacious and we felt like we had plenty of space. We loved the Incredibles decor - little touches (the closet, the check list in a drawer). Very charming! It's super convenient using the monorail, but bus service is also available. We walked to/from the Magic Kingdom a couple of times too. There are dining options on the 4th floor, along with a bar and an arcade, and shopping. So plenty of things for everyone. I wish we had been able to use the pool - but it was too cold while we were there.

Our family just returned home from a wonderful stay at the Contemporary! Upon arrival, we were thrilled to find out that we were upgraded to a tower room with a theme park view. We enjoyed watching the fireworks from our balcony the first night! Later during our stay, we were sent a delightful tray of cookies. One of the reasons we chose this resort was its close proximity to Magic Kingdom since we were traveling with our two little boys. This was especially crucial as it was marathon weekend and other resorts had difficulty accessing MK by bus on Saturday morning. Being able to walk to the park was wonderful. Of course there is also monorail access, but we elected to walk as it really is that convenient. The room itself was clean and spacious enough for our quick trip. I did not find it too loud, but we also brought a noice machine for our toddler. There was a refrigerator in the room which came in handy for storing groceries from Instacart. The grounds were well-maintained. It was too cold to use the pool, but my kids would have loved the splash pad. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely return!

We had a family of 5 trip to Disney last week. The disneyworld resort is gigantic, set on 40 square miles or something so once you enter the area, its different to Disneyland in LA or Universal. Getting access to anything besides the Disney complex is a 10-15minute taxi ride so you are sort of locked in (with their prices). But, if you want to commute into the fun parks it would be a nuisance for many reasons - distance, parking, and less perks of being at the Disney hotel. The Contemporary was a good hotel. Check in was reasonable, room access isn't overly difficult. There is a newer wing attached to the hotel which is fully enclosed. We were in the original area and the room was nice. Clean, spacious, beds elevated so you can push cases under them (very helpful with 5 in a room). Fold out couch was fine. Bathroom was spacious. TV channels fine and AC quiet and functional. In our southern wing, we did look onto a delivery area, but it wasn't really an issue. The pool was heated and had a jacuzzi which was nice, it also had a good length slide. The food scenario was a bit costly for their restaurants and this is the tradeoff for staying in the resort, you cant just head out like if you stayed at a universal resort you get a 5 minute taxi to many restaurants. You can take the free bus or 25 dollar Uber to Disney springs which has a lot of restaurants at a better price (Italian, asian, 'US'...) and many other shops. Disney Springs is the best option for dinner I think and a 20 minute bus ride right from the hotel grounds. Note that one night (its winter remember so I think down season), it was so busy here it was hard to get in anywhere despite there being 20+ restaurants. Breakfast at the hotel in the contempo cafe was ok. There is only so many fried breakfasts we can handle and once exceeded, you are sort of stuck with them as noted for the above reason. there are a few shops on the cafe level and one sells drinks and simple supplies which is good. They sell bagels and things but your room doesnt have a toaster, so we just used the one in the cafe! If you buy a refillable cup there you can keep topping this thing up for $20 bucks during your stay including tea/coffee and soft drinks. A good idea if there for more than 2 days. You can walk to Magic Kingdom, or take the monorail which is the best option. The monorail is very helpful, and leaves from the hotel foyer which is great. To get to Epcot, you just swap to the other monorail line. For Hollywood studios you have to take the Disney bus free of charge from the hotel grounds. I cant really compare the other Disney hotels on this loop (Polynesian, Grand Floridian) although they looked tidy on the monorail loop. Those two also have ferry rides to magic kingdom which Contemporary doesnt. At the contemporary you can hire a pontoon boat $50/half hour which would have been good but we were time poor. Overall happy with this hotel although the locked in aspect of Disney

We've stayed at All-Star and Port Orleans Riverside previously, and decided to spend the extra $$ to try a deluxe hotel now that the kids are a little older and we can enjoy the perks. We regret it. From the first moment, we were informed there were no bell carts to help us with our grocery order upon arrival. Are you kidding me? Top Tier level hotel at DISNEY and no one knows where the luggage carts are? We were stranded in the lobby with bags like we were trash off the street. The front desk didn't realize that I needed to be present with my ID to claim my order because it had alcohol. And then argued with me that I was wrong. I've done this before, but I guess I'll do your job for you. This was our first day, and it felt like the staff's first day too. The hours for the pool and pool bar change constantly with no notice. You get your whole family ready to use the hot tub after a long day at the park to find it closed early. No postings anywhere. The weather was cold, so I get they don't want to pay life guards for nothing, but we paid for a pool and we're going to use it. The Cafe is open late which is nice, but the menu is limited and somehow worse than the All Star cafeteria? I think they want guests to buy the character buffet at Chef Mickeys, so they intentionally make the quick service mid level. Room was OK, but nothing luxurious so check out the layout ahead of time so you're not unpleasantly surprised. The pocket doors in the bathroom stick and will cut off your finger if you're not careful. They advertise the monorail as the highlight, but it had delays and closures while we stayed so we took a lot of buses anyway. When it was operating, we were usually stuck standing for the 20 minute ride in overcrowded cars. Again, could've done that on the All Star bus for a third of the price. If this is the way Disney service is headed, this might be the end of the road for us.

My son and wife got sick on our trip and we're stuck in our room off and on instead of getting to enjoy the parks. That socks but life happens. What also happens is that housekeeping refuses to take no for an answer even when you put up do not disturb signs and even tell them by phone to leave your sick family alone. They decide you need a "visual inspection" each day and force themselves upon sick folks. Customer service plays hot potato with you passing you around while reminding you how much they really do care. My family is already having a bad time due to illness. Take you happiest visual inspections on Earth and shove them somewhere. It's a shame. The food, hotel, and monorail service are amazing. Too bad the room sargeant gets to inspect your bunk. Ridiculous.

Customer service was great. Room amenities were fine. The reason for the 3 star review: Terrible lack of sound proofing between connecting doors with the adjacent room. After a long day and night spent enjoying the parks, a peaceful sound sleep is an absolute must. That was impossible for us. The soundproofing was so ridiculously bad that we could hear the people in the room next door talking late at night at a normal voice level. When their baby cried, sleep was even more impossible. I am a huge Disney World fan, having visited 20 times. I have stayed at most of the Disney resorts. For the $$ paid, our recent experience at the Contemporary was not up to Disney standards. I will not be staying there again, unless it is in the new Bay Lake Tower. Note: The room described above was a Garden Wing room.

Hadn't stayed at this hotel since the 1970's when I was a kid. We took our Granddaughter and were extremely impressed with pretty much everything except the service at the quick serve restaurant next to the bar and the pool snack bar. I use the term "quick serve" very loosely. On each occasion that we ordered at these establishments the wait time was excessive to receive our food. There were plenty of workers in each kitchen but there seemed to be no teamwork or assistance provided to one another, it's as if each person was oblivious or unwilling to assist the other to service the customer in a more expedited fashion. Otherwise - the hotel was amazing, the room was spotless, there was plenty of storage space, the room had all the amenities we would want, ample outlets, USB's, etc... The proximity to Magic Kingdom was great, the viewing of the fireworks from the California Grill balcony was amazing, the pool with small waterslide was fun for a 6 year old, the holiday decor was nice. Check in and out was efficient, housekeeping was on top of things, the elevators came quickly and overall - we were extremely pleased and we will be staying agin.

I stayed here for one night. With online check in I didn’t really encounter any staff members. The rooms are very clean and look remodeled. The views from the room are pretty great. You can get on the monorail from inside the hotel. There are also places to eat inside.
