The facilities live up to the Shangri-La experience and consistent to Shangri-La Singapore where I frequent. The view is great and link to the beach. However the Rasa Sayang don’t meet my expectations on other area. The place is badly maintained and the equipment is old. The Toliet sink is faulty, drawers are broken. TV is old and the channel all have static which makes you feel like watching TV in 1980s. This place needs a revamp! There was a service break down when we check in but I will not mention it because the recovery from day two is excellent. Sorry to give a bad review cause at this price point for a hotel in Penang, I expected more.

Hotel maintains its usual high standard with staff always make a smile to guests. Health club can accommodate sufficient guests with cool and dry towels. Pool is large with plenty of armchairs. Breakfast is of high standard with efficient staff clear up quickly. You may swim with a lizard but don't worry, he's cooling off for a while 😁 A small long tail black monkey may sit in your balcony😅 The only problem is room sound proof is bad, adjacent room guests were chatting loudly at 1am, I called front desk and they came up with the proposal of moving us to another room in the middle of the night! That shouldn't be the solution, if the guests are partying, are you moving all the others?

Excellent all round. Unless you are a beach goer or going to spend total time relaxing in the hotel, you may find the hotel far from downtown. Hotel is old but well maintained inside and outside. The room is exceptionally huge. A gift box is ready for every room guest. Garden view overlooking the pool and beach is amazing. A good spread for the buffet breakfast. Looking to coming back if opportunity arises.

From arrival to departure, we were treated impeccably. Service is the best with all staff so friendly and humble. Every action is given so kindly and to accommodate guests. While this is one of the most expensive hotels, it is very impressive. Excellent location, stunning views, easy access to restaurants and markets, fabulous beach, water sports...just beautiful!

We stayed in this fairy-tale hotel for three days in the second week of February 2024. Our room was not only spacious but also incredibly comfortable. We were delighted to wake up each morning to a scrumptious breakfast that offered a wide variety of delectable options. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Every single member of the team wore a genuine smile and made it their mission to make us happy. I distinctly remember Haron Alrashid's kindness when he offered to drive us to a nearby supermarket. His big heart for humanity truly touched us. Mrs. Surjet Singh and Dana consistently greeted us with warm smiles from the moment we arrived until the day of our departure, even assisting us with our luggage. This list of exceptional staff members goes on, but unfortunately, there isn't enough space to express our gratitude to each and every one of them. We are truly grateful for the tremendous efforts made by the entire staff to create an unforgettable experience for us. Their dedication and commitment to ensuring our stay was exceptional is commendable. If we could, we would award this lovely hotel more than five stars. Without hesitation, we highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a place to relax and unwind.

Best experience staying at Shangri La Rasa Sayang Penang..Nice place nice food nice staff But the toilet bowl does not have a bidet spray.

I had a great time at shangri-la. We were allowed to check-in early and there’s so many things to do at the resort. The beach was amazing with many water activities available and nice restaurants just opposite the resort. Buffet breakfast had a decent spread. They gave us a cake for my husband’s birthday as well!

The hotel room was nice and clean. Rasa Sayang is much quieter than the Golden Sands next door. Suitable for couples. The beach is private and clean. We really enjoyed this place.

Amazing

This is the 2nd time im living in this hotel with kids. The hotel is clean, comfortable and affordable. Living in Rasa wing is fantastic experience for us. So enjoy the afternoon tea there at the beautiful lounge. Overall food was great. Not to forget the beach. Its very nice view and relaxing👍👍 Definitely will come again 🥰🥰
