The room wasn’t made up for the duration of the stay, I asked about it and cleaners were hesitant and offered fresh towels, I had already swapped out our towels and said no need to clean the whole room but would be lovely to have some fresh sheets as my toddler had an accident in bed, they said they’re out of sheets and so the bed abs room weren’t made up. We bought coffee amd milk from the local shop as they weren’t replaced. Was given 2 small soaps for 4 people for 4 days, toiletries weren’t replaced or offered even when we asked about rooms being made up which was not great. Coffee, tea and sugar weren’t replaced or topped up. The shower was very dangerous, hot water obviously has no temperature regulator (PARENTS BEWARE) It just goes suddenly hot and cold, very very bad shower, the worst I’ve been in. The hot water turns clockwise for on and cold turns anticlockwise, never seen anything like it in my life, after 15 minutes trying to work out how to use the shower, finally get the temp right and suddenly it stars blasting scalding hot water (literally almost boiling) and then cold, don’t anticipate a relaxing shower on your stay! Our neighbours were also shocked about the size of rooms and lack of amenities given the price. Staying for three nights (still here) between Christmas and NYE. The hotel is ok but there were lots of things that could easily have been improved. No microwave or toaster in the room, no plates or cutlery to even make a sandwich. No phone, no local attraction guide book, no guidance on how to contact reception from the room. There is a guest kitchen but it’s only open 8am to 8pm and so i was unable to warm a bottle for my baby in the night. The guest kitchen was very small, just a microwave and camp cooker, dish detergent had ran out and not replaced which raised questions for me about cleanliness. There was a hole where the bathroom door had been damaged and looked like it had been like that for years and not repaired. There were aggressive signs in the room about a $250 fee if you’re caught cooking in the room which just felt unwelcoming. Cracks and damage to ten paint around the air con, old unused picture hooks in the walls, cobwebs around the curtains etc. Overall, if I had paid $100 a night for this I would have been expecting this but for the price we paid of $400 per night it’s absolutely shocking. I did ask the cleaning staff but I didn’t complain to reception because I honestly felt uncomfortable to do so and didn’t want to be rude but I think for people like me who don’t like to complain it’s important to put an honest review. The good things about this place are the location which is 3/5 ok, not easy access to the beach but close enough and it’s a pretty little town to visit. The bbq area was ok but definitely not spectacular and only suitable for one family to use at a time. Given there are almost 30 rooms here and only 2 bbq’s and a small hot plate, if you’re staying here be ready to eat take away the
