Visionapartments Basel Nauenstrasse - Contactless Check-IN

I stayed at vision apar**ents Basel with my husband for 3 nights. We were quite impressed with the room (we had a mid range larger apar**ent) which was nicely decorated and the shower room was very nice and modern and great shower. The location is very good being a short walk from the train station and trams. Also walkable to nearby shopping areas and old town. However, I won't stay here again if I can help it as the customer service is appalling. We found the onsite reception staff to be unnecessarily unhelpful, unreasonable and uncaring. I've never experienced such apathy from customer facing staff. However I add that the housekeeping staff I encountered in the hall were friendly and welcoming to me.

I was supposed to receive an email 24 hrs before checking for the checking instructions, i never received it. When i got the place there was nobody there to help us out. There’s no front desk.We had to call a phone number that is posted on the front door multiple times to get my access code. Several hrs later I received the email and the code wasnt working i had to call back again. When i finally was able to get in the studio the place was not clean, there was dust everywhere the floor was dirty, the curtains, the walls had stains and the comforters was dirty. There was no one in the premises to help us out. Very disappointed, its a shame because is located in a place close to the SBB and to far from the city center.

Recently, we stayed in the Vision Apar**ents for a week. The building is located just a few minutes walk from the Basel train station which made for easy access to the trains for day trips. This allowed us to pack a lunch for a day of sightseeing and then come back to the room and fix supper. We booked a studio apar**ent and when we checked in were assigned room 314. The room was located on the south west corner of the building which put us just above the busy street. The room was fairly spacious and included a nice bathroom, sitting area, kitchenette with table and chairs and the bed. There were three windows but only one of them opened about 2 inches so we didn't have any cool air flowing. The room did get stuffy and there didn't seem to be any cool air coming out the vents in the ceiling. Luckily there was a standing floor fan which we kept running continuously while in the room and at night. The kitchen was pretty well equipped with the basics but didn't have a frying pan so we had to use one of the pots that were there. We asked customer service about getting a frying pan but they said we had to use what was there. We also asked them about the lack of air conditioning and they also replied that there was nothing they could do. Not very helpful at all!! The facilities in the building were nice and modern. Laundry machines in the basement were Miele brand so were modern and easy to use. The workout room was stocked with free weights, bench, cardio and a large combination weights pully machine. On the roof is small plunge pool, which is not heated, and a pool bar that must only be open in the summer. Overall, we enjoyed the room and building and would consider staying there again when we return to Basel.

Room was modern with good amenities. Properties was a short walk from the train station. Check-in was a bit concerning (submit passport and other details in advance and receive key code before arrival) as there was no check-in at the property but all worked well. Basel card (transport and discount card) was waiting for us in our room. Would choose to stay here again.

It was an amazing experience. When I booked this hotel I saw really bad comments but on the reallity was an amazing stay. The room was clean and brand new, better than my expectations. You just need to be aware that Is no front desk on the apartament ( but it’s already on the description )

I’ve stayed here twice now, and really cannot complain: at first, I found the website and booking system cumbersome and was uncertain of the pass code entry system… but it’s worked smoothly for me. The location is great - a block or two away from the central station, so handy if you arrive late at night. Also handy for places to get breakfast - I recommend Dean + David or Starbucks. Rooms are clean and functional. Some are starting to show signs of wear and tear, but nothing that makes the stay uncomfortable. I’ve never cooked in my room, but probably wouldn’t - I typically stay on Basel for a couple of days, no more than a week, so just eat out.

My stay was awful; I wound up leaving early. The room had zero fan and air movement; I traveled in June, and it was pretty warm. I knew there would be no AC but imagined that I could have an open window and a fan. Unfortunately, the hotel was window cleaning while I was there - there was a sign indicating this would be happening, but it continued two days PAST the end date. Two mornings in a row, I got an early knock at my door to close my window for cleaning. Being jet-lagged and not sleeping well anyway (due to the heat and general discomfort of the room), I found this wake-up call ENORMOUSLY frustrating. I attempted to get a refund for my last night so that I could go someplace else and get a good night of sleep, and they refused it and told ********** that there was no work going on. Even after I sent photos of the window cleaners right outside of my window that morning, they wouldn't budge. Will never, ever go back or recommend this place (and that's a shame as I am a business traveler and this place would have been wonderful if not for the terrible ventilation and stagnant air in the room when you're forced to sleep with your windows closed for the window cleaning that wasn't supposed to be happening!)

The hotel was near the train station - that was the only plus. Upon entering, the room had an odd smell; I opened windows and looked for a fan. No fan, except the shower fan. The room was also warm - I knew there was no AC but figured that there would at least be a fan. I attempted to sleep in the very hot room, jetlagged, only to get a knock on the door the next morning to please close my window for window cleaning. Mind you, window cleaning was supposed to be over (there was a note on the counter when I checked in stating this was happening, but this was supposed to have ended.) My stay was supposed to be four nights but after two nights of AWFUL sleep, and two mornings in a row of being woken up by a knock at my door for window cleaning, I decided to seek a refund and find a different place to stay. They denied that there was any work going on (even though I sent photos) and refused my request. I stayed one more night, was woken up one more time (even though my window was closed they knocked on the door to tell me to OPEN THE BLINDS!) Completely ridiculous and frustrating. I checked out early and ate the cost of a new hotel room for my final night, so that I could actually get some sleep and not have a morning wake-up call. Even without this going on, know that the rooms are stuffy and have zero ventilation.
