Art House Basel - Member of Design Hotels

Great hotel, very friendly staff, great breakfast, clean room.

房間本身還可以，地理位置可以。但是因為沒有空調晚上還是有點悶熱，可以找前台借電風扇，戴森的，但是沒遙控器，風速最大吵的狠。預訂前看到有提供牙刷但是沒有。重點是找牙刷的時候發現兩副耳塞！好奇的很為啥酒店提供這個，很好晚上就知道了。那個叫吵的呀，樓上是酒店的酒吧兼早餐廳，不是在挪桌椅的聲音就是在放音樂，更可怕的是酒店所在的前後兩條街酒吧營業，各種聲音，音樂，尖叫、吼叫… 凌晨4:30還沒結束，瘋了，除了小孩還能睡着大人沒想了。吃了安眠葯都沒用。極度不推薦這家。

Das Hotel liegt perfekt um die Stadt zu erkunden. Service und Ausstattung sind ausgezeichnet! Wir waren sehr begeistert und zufrieden.

酒店房間很大，床很舒服，有露台，冰櫃裏面東西全部免費喝的，這點很贊，服務人員態度很好的，很不錯的一間酒店！

房間寬敞，設計佈置舒適，有免費Minibar。早餐精心準備，工作人員友善。位於中心地段，晚上會有些微的Party 音樂聲。

Art House Basel was a great hotel, room service breakfast was well organised and always prompt, the room was comfortable, clean and luxurious, the location super convenient for tonnes of activities, and in particular Chris from reception was always helpful and informative and kind. If you're a woman travelling alone note that the rooms don't have peep holes so you can't check who's knocking, and there's no safety catch you can put on the door either, which may or may not be an issue, but as the elevator and stair access is open to the street, it's worth noting... however Switzerland is very safe and I didn't feel at risk because of those details.

The design, equipment and service standards are excellent. Our five night stay was only marred because we had opted to stay on a Saturday night. The hotel's website code of 'weekend vibes' and 'pulse of the city' had not prepared us to be kept awake (even with the thoughtfully provided ear plugs and sound cancelling triple glazing in the room) until 4am on Sunday by the pounding noise of the neighbouring bars and night clubs. From other guests we found out it had been the same on Friday night into Saturday morning too! The bass beats were so deep the room shook from time to time and the incessant noise reaching 98 decibels at its peak, prevented sleep until the very early hours of the following day. Whilst the ambiance, breakfast offering (although a little pricey as an add-on) and general levels of comfort were very high DO NOT stay there on Friday or Saturday night unless you expect to be up and about, enjoying the city's nightlife, until the very early hours of the following morning. Sunday to Wednesday nights were comparatively very quiet indeed with the sound proofing of the multiple glazed windows doing its job perfectly against the general hub-hub of a busy street filled with restaurants whose customers were dining outside. The hotel really should issue a specific warning about external noise levels on Friday & Saturday nights.

At the heart of Basel, with a great location near the old town, the station and the Zoo, everything is on walking distance. The stuff is very friendly and ready to help if needed. The rooms are extremely clean, well equipped and with a great facilities. And everything in the minibar is free!

We enjoyed our stay — especially as Spain won the Euro Cup final and Steinenvorstadt erupted in cheers! Even amidst a major event, the windows were impressively capable at eliminating the majority of noise. It’s entertaining to have a view over Basel’s entertainment district. If you love people watching, and a central location near to the train station, this place is for you! As often is the case in Switzerland, the AC is not true AC. It’s more of a fan that ostensibly moves cool air into the room. So it did get a bit hot during our July stay, especially as you may not want to leave the windows open while the restaurants below are still open.
