In arrival I was told that booking in was only at 3pm and on my email letter of confirmation it clearly stated 2pm. It looked as if the lady DS not believe me and so I fortunately had the confirmation email on my phone to show her. She then told me she would make and exception and allow me to book in an hour earlier! I find it frustrating that I should even hear the word “exception” as I was not in the wrong in the first place. The only other suggestion I have is that there should be a non-slip mat available to use in the shower as well as a handle to hold onto when showering and wanting to wash one’s feet. I am sure you have mane elderly visitors and it would prevent them from slipping in the shower in the slippery floor and falling. Apart from these two things I slept well and found the view over the pond with the birds a lovely one. All nice and clean and can recommend the hotel as a safe one to stay over.

We stopped here as we have family local and it just works for us, every time we stop over the year it does what it says on the tin. This time was for a 60th birthday. Great night sleep with friendly staff and the Manager (Faye) always makes sure we get a nice quiet room thats always clean.

The Hotel on a trading estate but this allows for bags of free parking. there was no noise at night and a host of retailers are within easy reach. Asda for breakfast for instance. My room was adequate ... no frills but purely functional. The TV is a bit small but not unwatchable. Still charging for WiFi .... come on guys it's 2024! The room was very clean and the bathroom immaculate ... and it has a bath .... wow I love a bath .... red hot water ... make the most though as I believe they are moving over to showers sadly ... I can't fault the hotel ... it is what it is. Maybe tidy up the car park and freshen up the exterior signs a bit but otherwise a good value base for exploring the area. If you want Swags and tails and the latest gadgets etc then look elsewhere.

The room was clean & comfortable. Was great being able to have late check out. Convenient location with Domino's, Costa & Asda so close. Needed more towels which reception kindly provided. Admittedly, the bath could have done with a bath mat - way too easy to slip. This was the second time we stayed here & would definitely recommend.

Always cosy and comfy, quiet and staff are excellent. Check in and out was super easy and quick. Thank you for a great stay, see you next time.

We visited Barrow to see old friends ,our party rented 2 rooms ,the lady on reception called Claire was lovely ,very helpful ,she arranged for me to have a ground floor room as I have mobility problems . the room was spotless,I did a "4 in a bed"check and was impressed ,we will book in again when in area.

Myself and my friend travelled up from South Wales to stay here for a football match so we were delighted to see that the ground was only 100 metres from the hotel. The hotel was just what we needed with a large clean room and friendly staff.
