Stayed for one night. Barr is lovely and very atmospheric. The hotel is quite a statement building and there is ample parking too which suited us well. Inside the old building is in a slightly mixed state but with most communal areas (lounge and dining area in particular) nicely decorated. The stairs up to the bedrooms are very old and creaky. It is not possible to creep up them that is for sure! Our room was fine although there was some remedial decor work needed (paper peeling off one wall and screws sticking out of another). I can imagine these old buildings eat money! The owner was pleasant but appeared to be very preoccupied during our stay, almost constantly on his phone. All in all, fine but not outstanding.

This is a great hotel that we highly can recommend.
Location, parking, breakfast and rooms all are good.

Good location in Barr and the host seemed quite friendly.
A shame that the hotel generally seemed very “tried”, with low quality and old furnitures.
Hotel generally seemed to be in need of a renovation and paint job.
Big hotel apartment with kitchen but almost no plates, knifes etc. Why have a kitchen if it can’t be used?
Toilet seat was cheap plastic that was loose and fell of several times.
Two of the small windows in the room missed glass and added to the sad look.
We tried both beds during the four days but both where very hard to sleep in.
If this was a cheaper B&B it would have been fine but at around € 150 per night it was disappointing.

A nice hotel for me and my daugther. We had a relaxing stay from the Alsace vine route reading our books in the gardens shade. Restaurents in Barr are in walking distance.

Freundlichkeit, Hilfsbereitschaft und eine wunderbare Atmosphäre des Willkommenseins zeichnen dieses Haus aus. Wir waren nun dreimal dort und ich freue mich auf den vierten Besuch! Ein Haus, das Heimweh macht - ohne Übertreibung!

Endroit charmant ! Les propriétaires sont très gentils et aident pour tout. Ils nous ont accueillis la nuit et nous ont aidés à nous enregistrer. Super petit déjeuner ! Le petit déjeuner est tout simplement incroyable !!! Je recommande vraiment cet endroit. L'un des inconvénients est probablement que la maison est très vieille et a besoin d'être rénovée, mais d'un autre côté, c'est une particularité de l'hôtel ! Les oreillers étaient très rembourrés et j'ai demandé à les changer. Le propriétaire de l'hôtel l'a fait gentiment et rapidement.

Krakende trappen en piepende deuren maken deel uit van de charme van dit familiaal geleid hotel., gelegen in het weinig spectaculaire Barr, enkele goede restaurants uitgezonderd. Naar Franse normen heeft men hier een uitgebreid ontbijt. Dit rustig gelegen hotel met voldoende parking is een goede uitvalbasis om de omgeving te verkennen

A primeira impressão foi muito ruim pois o hotel cheirava a esgoto quando entramos. O cheiro permaneceu durante a nossa estadia (uma diária). A banheira (chuveiro) apresentava alguma sujeira solta que lavamos para o ralo como chuveiro. Café da manhã bom, com variedade. O quarto muito bonito com decoração clássica e compatível com o estilo do hotel. Falta um frigobar (pequena refrigerador de quarto).
