Booked Superior family room, as I travelled with my children for the Christmas holidays. Good check in with key codes, though there was no receptionist. However, through the masks we could feel the unpleasant cigarette smoke in our room. Upon my arrival on the 24th of Dec I received inappropriate room. We also found the room was a bit dirty and found cigarette trash in the bathroom. The room didn't look like the one we booked (as you can see from the pictures, Btw, There was no nightstand to charge my phone..). I contacted the manager and she assured me the situation will be fixed in the morning! We had a festive dinner with relatives living next door, that’s why I agreed to wait for the morning. In the morning, a lady appeared and proposed transfer to other two rooms. They sounded apologetic, said it was a mistake, considering the condition of the room, so I thought - problem will be solved. I am traveling with children, That’s why I asked for a triple, but they offered two next doors. OK! I agreed-the rooms were nicer than the first one, though there were some smudges on the armchair and curtains, some mold in the bathroom.. Ok, I was there to spend time with relatives and enjoy beautiful Barcelona and not stay at the hotel, after all!! While I was on a trip outside Barcelona I received the message that on my last overnight I have to make another room change! I was pretty upset as the message was sent on WhatsApp and I got it arnd 18.00. I explained to the manager that it is absurd to pack once again for just one overnight and she kept telling me I have to accept the new-old room cleaner this time. My room was NOT supposed to be next to my children, but see I had options ....And she insisted that I have no other alternative but to move as other guests have booked the exact room I have been transferred to. There was this useless conversation is it appropriate to transfer a customer staying JUST 5 nts twice!! And as the manager assured me that YES, I SHALL be transferred for my last night even if I am not willing to, I simply booked extra night at a neighbour hotel - sharing the room with my kids. There is still no feedback from Booking,com, as I wrote to the customer service office. I contacted their hotline while being in Barcelona, but no assistance from their side. They asked me to speak to the LemarB. manager and her only solution was - YOU HAVE To leave the room and get the old one - which was supposed to be cleaned better. So, unfortunately BAD experience with LemarB, it is not Boutique :), but I liked my other hotel for the last overnight, though additionally charged. I will pick it next time, it is a hotel, not this kind of hostel facility. I don't mind hostels, just bad customer treatment like this one! Book your stays smart! :)
