This hotel has two things going for it, one is its proximity to the airport and the other is the relatively low price. That is where the positives end unfortunately. The hotel is just not very good overall. The room itself is dark and dreary with not nearly enough natural or artificial light. The wifi is atrocious and caused me to cancel multiple meetings as Zoom calls were impossible. The bed frame in my room is simply made of plywood with the markings from a construction site still visible. The mattress was also really low quality with little to no support and springs that could be felt easily through the mattress. The room was apparently made up daily as the bed was made but that seems to be all that was done. Toilet paper wasn't replaced and I actually ran out on my third day staying there, hand towels and wash clothes weren't replaced, and they clean at seemingly random times. The service is really poor as well. Whether it is reception, the staff in the restaurant, and in particular the staff when you call room service, it was all poor. I returned to the hotel between meetings and hoped to have lunch while doing some work. I called room service and spent some time on the phone with them as he had trouble (for some unknown reason) taking the order. I have a meeting and realize the food hasn't come so I call and the next person asks what I would like to order. I explained that I had already ordered and was inquiring as to the status of the food as it had been nearly an hour. He simply ignores this and keeps asking (eventually shouting) what do you want to order. I ask to speak to someone else and he says I'll call you back and hangs up. Then someone from reception calls back about 5 minutes later and I explained that I had placed and order and am wondering when my food would come. She apologies and says she'll call them and send someone immediately. About 5 minutes later a young *** appears at my door not with the food but with a note pad asking to come into the room (strange) to take my order. I explain again that I have ordered and am waiting on the food, he states that "they forgot" and that I can order with him now. It is now too late as I have to get to my next meeting so I'll have to skip lunch, and I explain as much. He then starts begging saying it will only be a couple of minutes, I explain multiple times that I now don't have time and ask him to leave, he attempts to block me from shutting the door, pleading to allow him to take my order. I eventually have to quite forcefully shut the door on him to get him to leave. His behaviour was really strange and if I was a woman would have made me incredibly uncomfortable. I believe he thought he was doing the right thing but it came off as strange and aggressive. I certainly will not be staying at this or any other Clarks Inn properties in the future as this stay was horrendous all around.
