Banff Links Caravan Parks

A little gem of a campsite with amazing sea views and great facilities which are kept very clean. The sea side pitches have a pronounced slope, but no-one seemed to worry and managed to level their campers and caravans. (Bring blocks or wedges if you want the best views.)

The site has a great location next to the beach. However, there is a public footpath through the middle so the site is not secure. The footpath is used a walk from Whitehills to Banff and the beach. There are a lot of dog walkers - not just users of the site - who think nothing of letting the dogs off the lead so they can walk and foul your pitch and any pitch that is empty. Balls are thrown for the dogs to catch which land on your pitch and the owners are oblivious to caravans and motorhomes on pitches. It states that dogs must be on a lead and that owners should clean up after them but this is not the case. The site itself is okay and the facilities are dated but adequate. However, the lady who runs the site is not all that helpful. On arrival the reception/shop was open but locked and she had to be obtained from her house next door. The reception/shop was frequently locked so things like ice cream etc could not be brought. This site is spoiled by the public footpath running through it and with the amount of dogs that are walked there. If had known the above beforehand would definitely not have booked it.
