Panvaree Resort

My friends and I (8 of us) stayed at Panvaree the Greenery for 2 nights. We wanted to get away from all the hustle and bustle of city life. If you want to cut off from the social world and just stay put to do some reading and relaxation, this is the place to be. Panvaree the Greenery is located at Khao Sok National Park or to be more specific, Chiewlarn Dam. Located in the national park, we were surrounded by mountains and water. Our accommodation floats on water and you can feel the shake when a long tail boat passes by. It rained most of the time when we were there and wasn't able to see the sunrise other than the mist. Wifi is available at the lobby but signal is very weak because of the location we are at and the bad weather made it worse. Without Wifi, we were disconnected from the world and spent most of our time taking part in water activities or reading. You could swim or go kayaking and are required to put on a life jacket whenever you play with water. During our stay, the resort provides 3 meals a day. Other than the meals (local Southern Thai food), the resort arranged our transportation from the airport to the pier and from the pier to the resort and vice versa. On the day we arrived and after check-in, we were served with lunch. In the evening, the resort arranged a cruise on Chiewlarn Dam using their longtail boat. The next morning, we were brought to see the sunrise but due to the rain, we could only go cruising in our raincoat which was provided by the resort. Throughout our stay, we were connected to the beautiful nature of the dam. It was really peaceful, quiet and got to breath on fresh air. It is just a place to get lazy and do nothing.

This place is the best place to recharge your mine joy for you relax scene and take a deep breath from nature clean air. The thing is this place is no phone signal any Internet signal, so it a good opportunity to take this time to detox your digital habit (actually the resort provided you the Wi-Fi, but the number of user always full and you cannot join but if you lucky enough you might be able to join for a minute)

I was torn between 4 and 5 but when the blanket I accidentally left behind arrived in our resort villa this morning at Phulay Bay my decision was made. The friendly woman who met us at the pier and was on hand for all boat rides made sure my blanket made its way back with nothing more than me telling her where we were staying later in the week- I didn’t have to follow up or arrange anything! The reason for the 4 stars was because of the tight quarters and hearing our neighbors literally snoring and not being able to enjoy our porch because of their constant smoking on the porch. I would suggest no smoking on porches and perhaps some type of sound machines to help drown out the thin walls as that can’t be changed. However everything else was wonderful. The kitchen went out of their way to make us vegetarian meals even working toward vegan. The Thai massage in our bungalow was delightful with the fan blowing down. And the views and boat rides were spectacular. We had fun kayaking on our own in search of monkeys...Based on previous reviews, I was a little worried about the lack of air conditioning during the day and the intermittent electricity outages but they didn’t bother us at all. When we return we will stay two nights and instead of the cave tour offered we will arrange a private boat ride deeper into the forest to see more wildlife as the guide told us that if you go about an hour deeper you can see elephants and other animals in their natural habitat. We will return.

This was a tremendous 3 day/ 2 night excursion to Khao Suk National Park. We stayed in rustic yet comfortable floating bungalows on the lake and a stones throw to the mountains and jungles. We were awaken each morning by the 'whooping' sound of the gabon primates and throughout the day were serenaded by various birds of the wild. We awoke each morning to a magnificent sunrise and calm waters and kayaked one afternoon to a remote jungle to witness wild elephants snapping, stomping and eating bamboo. I also felt the room accommodations were extremely comfortable. I had a wonderful sleep each night and the aircon was very good. There was hot water in the shower and the bathroom fixtures worked perfectly. The only thing not working was the wifi which was extremely sporadic. However, it seem to work fine in the lobby. Finally, I can't say enough about the service staff which did there utmost to make our stay comfortable and happy. The food served was delicious and authentic which was 'all you can eat'. And the daily activities provided by the staff (ie, hikes, boat rides to observe the mountains, etc) were breathtaking. Overall, this was a life time experience crammed into 3 days. Such a wonderful experience !

This hotel is the one of resort in Chiew Larn Dam in which you should take the boat from the land port. The hotel is small and cosy. However, there are a few activities in the hotel. I recommend to ask for the small trip from the hotel to see the interesting points such as "Sam Gler mountain" means three mountains in the dam and morning safari. The hotel staffs are nice and kind to customers. I recommend for the small group or family trip if you travel to Suratthani province (Southern part of Thailand).

The Greenery is located in one of the most beautiful places we've been lucky enough to visit. The lake is breath taking and the Greenery makes the best of this this beauty. Our room opened up onto a magnificent view, and we could slip into the gorgeous water from our own little porch. We stayed for two nights and it was bliss. The resort organises some activities such as a sunset cruise, but you have ample time to relax and swim and snooze. The Hotel provides kayaks and floats to make swimming in the incredible water fun and relaxing. There are a number of spaces to sit and read and relax. The food was good. The staff were really excellent - friendly and helpful. The owner was also super helpful when booking and arranging transfers. The price of the hotel was a little more than your average Thai hotel, but considering all that was included as well as the unique location I think it was more than worth it. I cant recommend this once in a life time experience enough!

Thailand really just keeps giving and giving ..We arrived at the ferry terminal which is fun itself but we’re not catching a ship we’re waiting for our traditional Thai fishing boat which can hold maybe 20 people max and luggage we are taken by boat 🚣‍♀️ across the giant lake maybe takes an hour to arrive at something like out of a James Bond film set we are greeted with a refreshing drink and a perfumed cooling towel.. Honestly the food here was amazing I think we had six set meals our floating accommodation with en suite and the staff suck kindness and professionalism we felt like we had won the Lottery and the scenery is so amazing we had a full moon and sunny days ..We saw the (nickname) the three musketeers which are the signature rocks and all for around £100 pounds ..my advice is don’t miss it if you can... We stayed in a floating lodge for 3 of us - my wife and I in a double bed on the ground floor and son on the open mezzanine level above. Stayed for 1 night and could have done another. The room was decent with an adjoining sower/WC. The deck had a couple of deck chairs and direct access. We enjoyed swimming in the lake - pretty clean and warm water. Food was good and plentiful and the staff at the restaurant/resort were very friendly and helpful and kept me full stocked with cans of beer! We had a number of boat trips and saw lots of birds, monkeys, lizards. We also visited the caves and saw the bats. The lake/scenery was beautiful.

All I have to stay is wow… this just about tops the Phi Phi islands. We were here for almost a month and this was my favorite place in Thailand. During the day was beautiful and the staff was so accommodating and at night we got to hangout with some of the staff and even though we couldn’t quite understand one another it was a really cool experience. Just jumping right into the water from your cabin was wonderful and the bungalows were so cool. Not to mention early morning and evening boat rides to see wild animals on the surrounding islands. If I ever go back I’m definitely coming here that’s for sure
