My wife and I were keen to explore the Glass House mountains and Sunshine Coast national parks, and were seeking self-catering hinterland accommodation that would serve as the ideal base for our exploration. As our trip coincided with my wife's birthday, we also sought a touch of luxury, in the form of an in-room spa bath. We found everything we wanted, and more, at Bendles Cottages. Located minutes from Montville, Maleny and less than 30 minutes from all the Glass House mountains and National Park attractions (Kondalilla Falls, Mary Cairncross Reserve, Gardner's Falls), it couldn't be better situated. Our private cottage, Mistover, was set in beautiful gardens overlooking grass lawns. It featured a king-sized bed, fireplace, smart TV with free Netflix access, free Wifi, a Nespresso coffee machine and pods, loads of assorted teas, all necessary cooking equipment and cutlery, and an unexpected and large supply of food for breakfast, within the fridge and in a breakfast basket. And there were lots of additional touches, like the provision of condiments like salt and pepper, cooking oil, sauce and jams, as well as occasional requirements such as insect repellents and sprays. And the spa-bath/shower came not with tiny, single-use commercial tubes of shampoo etc, but large bottles of quality products, as well as bathrobes. What was promised in the advertising was delivered, but there was much more that hadn't been mentioned. The cottage itself was spotlessly clean, and the contactless check-in and check-out easy. We could not have been more impressed or happier with our accommodation choice. It was perfect.
