伝統的なバリスタイルのホテルです。ドライヤーは受付に言えば借りられます。冷蔵庫、ポットが各部屋にあり、毎日水やティーパックが補充されました。ロケーションは、海に歩いて行ける距離、近くにコンビニもあります。朝食は、いくつものメニューから選べるので5泊ほどしましたが飽きませんでした。メイン、フルーツかフレッシュジュース、飲み物と量も満足でした。

We had a lovely stay at Puri Cendana, having stayed multiple times it was lovely to see everything is still the same minus a couple of the lovely old dogs! Highlight is the wonderful Desak who does the most unbelievable massages. The front office staff are very obliging. The restaurant has the best Nasi Goreng in Bali. Rooms are comfortable with excellent air con, they could upgrade their towels and water pressure is intermittent. Overall I highly recommend.

POSITIVES Old style Bali accommodation. Lovely green garden surrounds, nice pool and surrounds. Rooms spacious and clean, with sitting area, perfectly serviced daily, bed large and comfortable with mosquito netting, large bathroom with bath. Never saw a mosquito. Nice shower, hot water. ALL staff really helpful and friendly. Restaurant had good choice of food and very reasonably priced. Easy walking distance to beach. Verandah with table and chairs. Variety of guest origins, Australian, German, French, Italian and British NEGATIVES TV reception poor No hot water to bathroom hand basin. No room safe. HIGHLIGHT After leaving Puri C we moved to a hotel in Sanur and I left my ‘medicine’ (tablets) in the room. I got a message at our new hotel and got in touch with Ms Sri at Puri C and she arranged a Grab taxi to deliver them to me. Terrific service for which I am grateful. We can highly recommend Puri Cendana. We will definitely stay again.

I’ve stayed in Seminyak many times and can’t believe I never knew about Puri Cendana! Old style Bali with magnificent gardens, beautiful rooms and gorgeous friendly resident dogs (and squirrels!). It’s like an oasis right in the middle of Seminyak and so close to the beach and nightlife. Staff were great and breakfasts delicious. This will now be my go to hotel in Seminyak.

Its a nice hotel at an excellent location with picturesque interior (beautiful garden and a lovely swimming pool). However, the breakfast is extremely dissapointing and hardly adequate in quantities of items served (a la Carte menu) to be termed as satisfying . I had a horrible experience on the very first day of our 4-night stay here. I asked the waitress that I would like a vegetarian omelette (as one can choose the type of egg preparation). After waiting for about 10-15 minutes (no problems there!), she brought me 'fried egg-white'. I reminded her what I had ordered but she said "I am sorry but the eggs are finished!". The total quantity of butter served to me and my wife on each of the four times we had breakfast here was about 1 cubic inch - and no more! Had I known before, I would never have opted for breakfast at the time of booking.

We stayed here one night only as a stop gap arrangement. After staying here one night, we were to check into courtyard by Marriott which was 200 meters away. But in hindsight I wish I had booked all my 3 nights here. Rooms were twice as big as Courtyard and half the price. Everything was clean. The furniture is old but has a charm about it. The bathroom is huge. A small verandah outside along with a clothes drier adds to the thoughtful touches. A decent pool, a nice little cafe. It has everything you could want.

At some point in the past I guess I stopped noticing Puri Cendana as I passed by - it’s been there forever, hiding in plain sight. I sometimes stay at the budget chains nearby when I want to stay in Seminyak - for cleanliness and convenience more than anything else. This time, curiosity got the better of me when I unexpectedly found myself at a loose end for a week. I spent it at Puri Cendana and I’m really glad I did. For the same price, you get a room (with a balcony or terrace) four times the size in a traditional building. Housekeeping did a great job keeping it clean and neat during my stay. The aircon was perfect, the TV had international news channels and there was a fridge/kettle/hot drinks/water. Also a mosquito net if you wanted it. You also get breakfast, beautiful gardens and a neat swimming pool with loungers (some of which are a sun trap after 11am). The staff were lovely. So friendly and helpful. It felt like a family business. Restaurant food was good, and the on-site masseur was amazing. As good as anyone. Location-wise, it couldn’t be in a better position. Two minutes to the beach, two minutes to a busy street but in a quiet spot in between the two. If you are happy to stay in an older property (the room was good enough but the bathroom would benefit from a makeover), you couldn’t choose better. In short, it’s a hidden gem.
