Bisma Cottage Ubud

I had an amazing time at Bisma Cottage as a Solo traveller in late March - early April 2025. The website of Bisma Cottages is super informative, they have so many things they can recommend to you. Kelly (from Australia) and her team of local Balinese people (they speak English very well) is really knowledgeable and they were happy to help with everything. Super convenient if you are new to Bali or new to Ubud. I booked three tours with bisma cottages and the guides are amazing (especially Darma). I can highly recommend "Best of Ubud" and "cave mediation" and "water purification". The local guide Darma is a perfect private tour guide if you want to learn about meditation and about the history of Bali, Ubud and everything... Wild water rafting was also fun and they organised a private driver which is just more convenient. I could only stay 6 night unfortunately as they book out quite soon (it is a smaller place with a vibe that feels like family and friends). I also did a floating breakfast which is fun and really nice for photos. I can 100% recommend it :-)

We chose the family adventure package for our family with two teens and it was perfect! The 2 bedroom cottage was great to have our own space but the rooms were located next to each other so we felt safe. The pool was lovely to cool off and the location was excellent. So many food options close by and spas too which was important for mum! The package included rafting, massages, Ubud tour and floating breakfast and was excellent value. The kids had so much fun and the massage was excellent! Highly recommended and we will be back.

Nestled within the hustle of Ubud lies this exquisite little gem of a hotel, where I had been assured, I would find the solace and peace required after one hell of a journey. I’d booked the Solo Girls Package, as recommended by the author, Alexa West and added the Mt Batur sunrise hike into my plan. The care and attention to detail that Kelly and her staff put into this guest house was exactly what I needed, whilst the gorgeous room proved to be a very restful sanctuary. Kelly is a fabulous source of local knowledge and I will be returning as I have so many more things to see and do on my next visit to Bali.
