Kviknes Hotel

完美的很 非常好

We stayed enroute from Bergen to Loen - mainly because there was not a lot of choices for the night we needed. However we were happily surprised by the hotel, the staff, the grounds and the views. Starting at check in when we were warmly welcomed to our room (in the modern section) which was quite comfortable to the historic rooms in the ground floor of the hotel to the gardens - this was a great place to stay. Breakfast was excellent, the views from the dining room spectacular and the hotel although very busy was quiet and lovely. Walking past the Balestrand Hotel I was glad we did not stay there as there was very loud music blasting from the hotel and it was not peaceful at all! The only downside to the Kviknes hotel is that is kind of expensive.

Good stay in a historic hotel in the middle of scenic fjord countryside. We stayed in the old part of the hotel on the second floor. There’s no elevator in the old section, and it is not handicapped accessible, so keep that in mind when booking. Our room had an extended balcony with an amazing view of the fjord and the surrounding mountains. The room had a small sitting area, which was just big enough to have an extra cot added for our son to stay with us. The bathroom was older and could have used updating, but it was fine for one night. We also ate at both the dinner and breakfast buffets. Dinner featured 3 kinds of salmon and various other fish options. Meat was limited to lamb and veal. Dessert was the best part of the meal, with smaller portions that were right sized to sample several options. I also recommend walking around the small town to see the beautiful sights, including the majestic mountains and interesting Viking church.
