Tiki Villas Rainforest Lodge - Adults Only

I can't believe these reviews are for the same hotel we stayed at this week. This is not a top ranked hotel. In fact it was one of the worst we ever stayed at On the positive side the grounds and the lobby are beautiful. We were so excited when we arrived. However that was before we saw the room and interacted with the staff. The bathroom literally had black mold and peeling paint. There was also mold on the curtains in the bedroom. There was no room near the sink to put personal items and the shelves that were supposed to to be on the wall were missing. In addition there was a leather plastic glade air freshener in the closet. I've posted pictures. As far as service, We were shown to our room and told the comforter that went on the bed wasn't ready yet and was still in the wash. The gentleman who showed us to the room also mentioned we were missing coffee. He left the room. Several hours went by and still no comforter or coffee. In addition we realized that we only had two towels for four people. When we went to dinner at the hotel, we asked about the comforter and we're handed it to bring back as we left the lobby. The poor service continued throughout the stay. One day, Housekeeping came before we left the room and they never returned. We reached out early afternoon and asked for more towels, since there were only two when we checked in the day before. We were told that they would bring them "now". When we returned to the room several hours later the towels were still not there. I had to go to the lobby to get them myself. The following day housekeeping never showed up. We told the employees in the lobby who gave us more towels but never sent anybody to get the dirty towels or empty the garbages. At this point we mentioned that we experienced issues every day since we arrived but they did not seem very interested. In addition to the room, the lounge chairs around the pool were not in good shape. Some were completely missing cushions. Others had large holes burned into the covers. Do not rely on the prior reviews. This is not somewhere you want to stay!

We absolutely loved our 4-night stay at Tikivillas in Uvita. Our beautiful, spacious room had two private balconies, an outdoor shower (wow!) & kitchenette with coffee machine. The staff was so friendly - we especially adored Gerald and Adrian. Fantastic food!

Our first stop in Costa Rica for five days and the pictures reflect the beauty of the property! the guest servers manager, Nancy , made the trip for us as she coordinated car rental and dinners as well as ATV tours or anything you needed ! A great mid price range property with stellar service ! The plunge pool made the end of the day even more relaxing We even met one of the owners and learned more about the property! Thanks for a great experience !

Lovely wooden lodges with balconies for bird watching. Great views from the infinity pool. The Costa Rican breakfast was the best we had on our trip - very nicely cooked. A short drive to Uvita but nice and quiet. Road up was quite steep - glad we had a 4 by 4.

TikiVillas is a beautiful location where you can hear the sounds of the jungle while hearing the crashes of the waves at the same time. Our experience there was magical, and greatly appreciated the assistance of the Guest Services Manager, Nancy Castro who was knowledgeable about the area and local adventures to go on.

The property was fabulous. Loved the room...very comfortable and plenty of space. The outside shower was a very nice touch. The restaurant was very good and the staff was great. We even had toucans join us for breakfast! I don't have her name but the woman at the front desk (butterfly tattoo inside of arm) was beyond helpful. We had a medical issue and she handle all the paperwork for us. She should be commended for her help to us We would absolutely stay here again if our travels brought us to the area
