Situated out of the bustle of Ella at the top of a hill, this hotel presents amazing views. Rooms are spacious and beautifully designed. A standout is the fruit and veg grown onsite. The bartender in the restaurant is amazing. Cocktails, mocktails and an incredible smoothie (made out of a pineapple freshly harvested from the hotel gardens). Food was delicious and abundant. There a few negatives but note that this hotel is not disabled friendly. There are quite a few stairs. It’s also up a steep slope so you will need a competent driver or ring ahead for a tuk tuk to pick you up. They also provide a plug in mozzie killer that has a particular smell which can be unpleasant for some. Note there is no TV but with the amazing views that shouldn’t be a priority. I’ll be back for the views and pineapple smoothies.

My family and I stayed here for four nights and even though it is about a 20minute tuk tuk ride from the town centre it was well worth the stay. The town was very loud for us and our little boy so it was wonderful to escape to the mountains and enjoy the peace and quite. The hotel staff were incredible especially the staff that managed the food area, my son loved them! The pool was a little on the cold side but that was the only fault, we still jumped in and out throughout the day. A gorgeous hotel, well kept and super clean. The food was impeccable!

Wow! What a fantastic place with a super well trained and friendly staff that always go above and beyond, views are stunning and the pool is just beautiful. They also have an in house Tuk Tuk driver that can take you to all the sights as well as the town centre for a really reasonable amountAnother big highlight is the food, the restaurant is possibly the best in the entire region, the curry and rice is an absolute must have and breakfast was amazing too! The waiters in the restaurant were also incredible and really looked after us! We had a 1 year old baby, and shes never been so spoiled in her life, what a team! Do yourself a favour and stay here!

An amazing 24hrs visiting this hotel, just sorry we couldn’t stay longer. Fantastic location with amazing views and great restaurant with scrumptious food . The staff were great, so attentive and a lovely surprise birthday cake. We had to make an early start the next day and even provided a breakfast goodie box for us …thank you .

Beautiful hotel. Very cosy atmosphere. Staff are so attentive and helpful. Kavindu was particularly great! Would recommend this hotel to anybody staying in Ella! Also very close to Ella town and the hotel helped us organise cheap taxis every single day. Food is also delicious.

Amazing property with beautiful views! The food was great, the people were lovely and the room was perfect. Highly recommend staying here! The only issue was due to the high winds through our room on the top floor, a window latch was broken and it woke us up banging against the frame in the middle of the night. We tried everything to fix it but to no avail. We asked for it to be fixed the next day but it was not addressed during our stay. This is the only think I wish would have gone differently. Outside of that, everything was fantastic! It's outside of town but worth it for the views and vibes.

We had an excellent time at chill ville. The hotel is exceptional value. The food and service was great. In particular the hosts were very attentive and was able to support us in all our requests whether it be food orders / tuk tuk rides in a timely manner. We highly recommend staying at this place, it was our highlight in Sri Lanka!!

We loved our stay at Chil Ville View Point Hotel. The position could not be better. The hotel has spectacular views away from the hustle of Ella but close enough for us to be able to walk to Nine Arches Bridge in the morning. The rooms are very comfortable with great bathrooms and beautiful views. The staff were fantastic and the food was very good.

We had an incredibly relaxing experience at Chill Ville (truly living up to its name)! Sharma, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable and well-informed about everything Ella had to offer. He arranged a lovely spa evening for us in the town and even checked train schedules so we could catch the Nine Arches train at the perfect time for breathtaking views. Our room was high up, offering wonderful views of the mountains and tea plantations. The gardens were adorned with beautiful hanging flowers and fruit trees, adding to the charm of the place.
