A great hotel, beautiful room with four-poster bed and view of Ella Rock from the green terrace. Very clean! Well located in the center of Ella. Hiking to Adam's Peak and the 9 Arch Bridge and seeing the waterfalls is easy from there. There was no pool, but we didn't think that was so bad. The food was fabulous - the best breakfast in Sri Lanka and the dinner was really tasty too.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped, making it the perfect place to relax after a busy day. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, which really made a difference. As for the restaurant, the food was outstanding—each dish was bursting with flavor, and the presentation was top-notch. Highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable stay!

We have been on an 8-day round trip Kandy-Ella-Yala-Hikkaduwa-Bentota and have spent the night in many different hotels. This was a tasteful hotel with the absolute best breakfast of the entire trip. The breakfast had everything we could wish for and then some. It was tasty and attractively prepared - all credit to the chef!

The hotel is in a good location, just outside the main strip and on the way the 9 arches, little Adams peak but honestly it’s shiny reception area is where it ends. The welcome is poor, there’s a tonne of steps (please avoid if you have mobility issues), the lock on my room door was faulty, there’s no safety deposit box, the tv doesn’t work, the shower is luke warm at best and the paint is chipped. Personally I wouldn’t stay here again. Theres better options to choose from.

Excellent service and delicious food at very reasonable prices. My partner had the chicken kottu with chicken curry and I ate a crispy chicken sub and they were really nice. Also had a very happy and helpful server. Would definitely recommend!

The entire stay at Ella Heritage was wonderful. We were treated incredibly well with very friendly staff. They went the extra mile for us. The staff always offered to carry items and luggage for us and checked in with us for breakfast. We had a lovely stay and would recommend this to others. It’s situated close to the Main Street but far enough away that it’s not too noisy.

Sadly this place was a great disappointment. The stairs are dangerous and would not be legal in Australia. We had to leave early due a family member falling down the wet slippery stairs. We also messaged in advance to see if restaurant and bar was open. We were told yes. When we got there the restaurant was closed and there is no bar! The staff are doing their best with what they have but really if you have young children, bad knees or ankles this is not the place for you. The breakfast was standard and certainly nothing to rave about. The bugs at night - although not the fault of the place are terrible. No great view as advertised.

Bad place to be in - was here for 2 nights but trust me wasted my 200$ for 2 nights here . Property has nothing to offer in terms of view and facilities . Breakfast spread was very very poor and below average . Fail to understand why we should pay such a high price for this place … Would never recommend this anyone ever again !!! Best part the so called reception lady has the audacity to say please pay in full before entering !!!

Fabulous location with views of Ella rock from rooms. Room was excellent, comfortable, clean, good A/C, utilities, and a clean attached bathroom. Breakfast was excellent. Friendly and responsive staff. Good value. Walk to town center which has a good selection of restaurants. Proximity to scenic sites, including Nine Arches Bridge, and spectacular geologic sites.
