Hotel Therme Bad Teinach

我們到達酒店的時間已經很晚了，前台接待都去睡覺了，現掛電話才把人叫來，服務略顯不足，但酒店的環境及設施彌補了這一切，典型的黑森林地貌，幽靜的小鎮和山林，桑拿和室內外游泳池都很棒

Sehr schönes und sauberes Hotel. Die Therme war auch sehr schön, ruhig und angenehm zum Entspannen. Wenn man dem Alltag entfliehen möchte und dem Körper und der Seele was Gutes tun möchte, dann ist man hier absolut richtig. Das Einzige, was ich zu bemängeln habe ist, dass unser Zimmer so warm und schwül war, dass wir in der Nacht sehr oft verschwitzt aufgewacht sind. Es sind leider nur Lüftungen und keine Klimaanlagen vorhanden. Für uns, die definitiv die 18 Grad für angenehmen Schlaf brauchen, war das nichts. Ist aber auch Geschmacksache.

From the main breakfast room, you see a well-manicured park with steep paths inviting you to enjoy the fresh air. The tables have linens, and while there are espresso machines, you can also have coffee or tea served at your table by the staff, which is also constantly restocking the central buffet with fresh items. The swimming pool and spa facilities act as a daily spa. They are available for both hotel guests and spa guests. A separate set of sauna facilities is exclusively for hotel guests and includes a ladies-only sauna. If the goal is to relax and breathe clean air, this hotel is a good-value option. I liked the Neroli scent of the liquid hand soap in our bathroom, which featured a walk-in shower, tissues, a makeup mirror, and a cute complimentary bottle of Annemarie Borlind body lotion. Dining options were limited. During our visit, the hotel had a bar, a restaurant and another restaurant up the mountain, but there were no other places to dine in the neighbourhood. Technically, another restaurant a few blocks away would have been an option, but it was closed at 21:00 when we walked by.  At night, the place got exceptionally quiet. A church clock marking the hour made us feel for a moment in another era.

Fantastic breakfast.... so many choices. Very good room, we had an upgraded room directly opposite the waterfall, an amazing view from the balcony every evening. Extremely quiet. Good pools especially the outdoor hot pool. Okay spa on 3rd floor (panorama spa) but lacks a steam room If you like walking you are spoiled for choice,so many options all starting from the hotel doorstep.

Horrible stay at Hotel Therme, I wouldn’t recommend it at all, especially not as a solo traveller. We arrived late (but well within the set time limit by the hotel) but were “greeted” by an unfriendly member of staff. No greeting what so ever and his first words were “If you give me a name then I can at least start doing something”. The staff member made it obvious that he wasn’t fond of our late arrival by continuing to be unfriendly. I filled my name on the registration form but -although clearly readable- he started asking rude questions on how my name is written, this despite he checked it earlier in my passport. He eventually made me rewrite my name… Having survived that ordeal we were given our room keys without a proper explanation where to find our rooms, the member of staff simply pointed outside to the building across the reception… We eventually found our rooms (and the entrance) and were greeted by a very unpleasant “mouldy” smell in the building. The smell became worse upon entering the room -despite the window being open-. The temperature was very high with no air conditioning to control it. The room was VERY outdated with dirty carpet and a yellow stained pillow. By this point I felt so dirty I didn’t dare to walk barefooted over the carpet. All in all, without not seeing the other facilities, I would NOT recommend this hotel to single travellers. We paid €160 for 1 night (without parking & breakfast!) which was a complete waste of money!

Avoid if you’re Vegan! Not one option in restaurant or bar. No kettle in room to make tea or coffee. Rooms are dated. Steam and sauna only open until 6pm. However spa area is nice. Parking is limited in hotel so had to pay to park in the factory next door. Reception staff could be a bit friendlier.

Loved this hotel but there were a couple things that would have made our stay perfect. ● First, the room: spacious. The view is amazing. We got a deluxe room with a balcony that overlooked the forest and gardens. We spent a lot of time enjoying the balcony and this lovely view. What would have made it even better was a sunshade—it was quite bright in the blazing afternoon—we had the corner room so there was nothing to block the sun. Wonderful bathroom—toilet and tub/shower were separate. Beds were comfortable but I wish that the two halves of the bed had been connected together with at least a mattress topper. I wound up falling in the crevasse between the two beds by the third morning. We were surprised that there was no coffee maker—since we wake up much earlier than the breakfast, a coffee maker would have really made our stay more enjoyable. ● The restaurant food was amazing. The breakfast was an excellent spread and included a person ready to cook an omelet to order. Only a few of the staff spoke English, thankfully two of them were the bartenders! We ate at the bar’s outdoor seating for dinner a couple nights which was a much more relaxed atmosphere than the dinner restaurant. Not as wide of a menu variety at the bar but enough to give us options for two nights. We needed replacement towels for the pool and sauna but was not able to get any for our 2nd and 3rd day—we didn’t want to continue to use our sauna towels after having sweated on them. A hotel that specializes in its pool and sauna facilities should have plenty of towels for the overnight guests. ● The grounds are so beautifully maintained, a lovely mix of nature and man-made gardens. There are hiking and biking paths into the forest right from the hotel. The pools and saunas are excellent with jets in some spots and not others. And well maintained. My only complaint with the pools is that babies and small children were using the hot tub. This should be adults only for hygiene. ● Altogether a wonderful experience and we highly recommend it for travelers looking to relax in beautiful surroundings.

Perfect coszy couples weekend with my wife. although there were small issuse. AC did not work. Public toilettes in the Spa area have milky-glas doors also in the changing rooms. I think we were lucky with the hotel utilization, but they still book all guests in two slots for dinner. so even if you have a reservation you will wait to be seated for 5-10 min.

The hotel is nice but the staff is terrible. If I'm asking for a plain omlett I'm getting head shakes and statements from the chef like "don't get why you wouldn't want cheese and vegetables in it" and I am being asked to explain myself now the 2nd day in a row. The cleaning staff wakes us up for the 2nd day because there is no "Do not disturb" sighn available and the cleaning lady uses the german "Du" form pushing us basically to leave the room if we want it cleaned. The cleaning lady in the spa approached us with "out, out, out" so she could push the wagon with the dirty towls into the elevator and we had to squish by it to get out. What's up with the management of this place?
