Royal Palm Bacalar Cabañas & Lagoon Club

The only thing royal about this place is the Royal Palms (or Roystonea Regia trees). It isn't even a hotel. There are four small buildings with a total of eight cabins on an uncleared piece of jungle that in part looks rather shabby, with construction rubble and junk in several places. Five cabins are situated not far from the main road and are therefore exposed to traffic noise. To get from these cabins to the lake one needs to follow a meandering unpaved road that gets muddy after a rain shower. The "Beach Club" is no more than a small piece of grass lawn beside the owner's residence at the water, which is also available as a hotel room. There is no bar or restaurant at this "beach club", but across from it is a reasonable restaurant. Royal Palm Bacalar pretends to be much more than it really is. The cabins are spacious and clean but basic. Water pressure was low. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We paid 1,650 MXN per night for a cabin near the main road. There are no breakfast facilities, but if so wished breakfast can be ordered from a place nearby. The lagoon is spectacular. We weren't charged for the use of the kayaks and paddle boards. Our three night stay was pleasant, but one shouldn't put one's expectations very high as to the degree of luxury.

Definitivamente un lugar para regresar. La atención desde que llegas hasta tu salida es muy atenta y cordial. Siempre al pendiente de Nosotros. En el lugar se respira una paz y tranquilidad que no tiene precio. La habitación frente al lago no puede estar mejor, contando con lo necesario para una estancia más que placentera. Sólo tomar en cuenta que está lejos del centro si no vas en vehículo. Nuestro agradecimiento especial a Samuel, no pueden tener a alguien mejor que él trabajando para ustedes.

Muy bonito lugar , lo que mas me gusto fue sin duda la vista a la laguna , el paseo en Kayak y la amabilidad del personal , tienes opcion de pagar el desayuno en donde te lo traen a tu propia habitacion. Lo unico que recomiendo es un buen repelente ya que si hay muchos animalitos. En las tardes noches puede pasear en el centro de Bacalar el cual es muy tranquilo y ameno. Recomiendo el restaurant cerca del hotel.

Espectacular la atención de todos los empleados, sobre todo Melanie, Samuel, Martha y el Señor de mantenimiento, se esmeran mucho para que el huésped tenga una excelente estadía, la ubicación del hotel es ideal ya que tiene acceso a la laguna y se encuentra a 10 min caminando del centro, la habitación es super amplia, bien equipada y limpia, en general tuvimos una excelente experiencia, costo beneficio perfecto.
