Valle di Assisi Hotel & Spa

Le camere con mobilio vecchiotto. Qualità del ristorante nella media. Spa meravigliosa.Per essere 4 stelle mi aspettavo molto di più

Dopo svariati anni che alloggio in questa struttura purtroppo sono rimasto deluso per svariati motivi: 1. Appena arrivati c’era un errore sulla prenotazione anziché due adulti ed un bambino a loro gli compariva solo due adulti. Di fatti la struttura mi ha addebitato il costo del bambino anche se sul sito di trip compariva gratuito. 2. La prenotazione fatta sulla Spa del giorno di arrivo era stata programmata per il giorno dopo. ( fortunatamente la responsabile della Spa ha ottemperato al disguido) 3. Il bagno nella zona doccia c’erano delle formiche. Non metto una stella perché conosco bene la struttura e spero che gli faccia riflettere a quanto accaduto. Un’altra persona sicuramente avrebbe fatto storie. Ovviamente sarà mia premura prima di alloggiare nuovamente in questa struttura valutare altre strutture limitrofe. Devo ringraziare in particolare all’assistente Trip perché mi ha assistito fino alla fine cosa che non ha fatto la struttura alberghiera.

The hotel was as described, good rooms , plenty of space and a very nice bathroom , the hotel staff were very nice , nothing seemed to be a problem. The pool area was really nice , the big swimming pool looking onto Assisi was wonderful. The bar are was small and functional with plenty of choices for drinks. The spa which myself and wife used was perfectly adequate ( both had back massages, while we have both had better these were good). All in all the hotel was perfectly adequate for visiting Assisi. There is a new restaurant 5 minutes by car away , Cantonese style , it’s called “ Moon “ give it a try , 5 stars . The negatives on the hotel - we took a taxi to Assisi for dinner , four of us and it was about 4/5 km , maybe about 10 minutes in the taxi this was 70 euro return , this is the price now which I thought too expensive. The hotel also claims to be a “ golf resort “ I use this very liberally because it’s not . The girl at the desk unfortunately did “ not have a clue about golf “ , her words not mine . This is pretty strange as it claims to have a golf course. It has a driving range and a nine hole pitch and putt course. Let me be frank if you play or have played golf do not use these facilities. In fact if you fancy playing golf please don’t . The course is a disgrace , It is a serious of run down holes which you play from astro turf which is not fit for purpose and you hit onto a green of Astro turf which is as run down as I’ve seen . The fairways are indescribable to say the least. This will set you back 25 euros and 15 euros for the clubs - I advised the hotel this should not be offered free. The driving range is a disgrace , it was once covered there is now no shade , there are no golf Tees built into the dilapidated Astro turf . The tokens are supposed to get you between 20 and 30 balls , very random . We got 17 with the 1st and only token . This will set you back 5 euros per person to step onto the range ( 1st time I’ve ever had to pay to attend a driving range ) the cost of each token is 2 euros for a random amount of golf balls that should have been put in the bin may years ago . Again the cost of the golf clubs are 15 euros for the hire. Let me say this the golf clubs should be sent to the scrap yard or recycle centre I’ve not seen worse , if they were ever cleaned it must have been years ago. My 1st ball with the 3 wood and the club head flew off the club on the back swing , missed my daughter’s head by inches , I don’t think I need to say more. I told this all to the hotel and was honest and forthright. The hotel is good the golf is a disgrace. The garden area and surrounding path ways could be more managed, a little work needs done with the gardening side of things . The hotel will suit your needs if you just need a base for Assisi and are prepared to drive into the town .

Staff, fantastic. Have to say this is our 2nd visit, and we love it. However the hotel when I first visited was fantastic, we stayed in the apartments, just a 5min drive from hotel. I found the apartment, clean, quiet, they had their own pool for the apartments, which was fantastic as the hotel pool was so busy. Love the hotel, staff amazing. Restaurant was fantastic, but was let down but the clientele children, as they were allowed to watch their iPads, or phones, very loud, which I found horrid. Ok, children can watch things, but not at the loudness for others as we all don’t want to hear baby songs while out for dinner. (It’s the parents not the hotels fault) The pool still as amazing as ever. This is the one hotel I live to visit time and time again, the view of Assisi never gets old. Thank you for having us.

Beautiful facility, fantastic grounds and landscape. Great pool. Bike rentals and maps around the area available. Beautiful golf course, although we didn’t play. Dinner restaurant was fantastic in food and views. Also have a very nice breakfast buffet.

This hotel has a lovely and catchy website, together with lovely gardens and surroundings, but really that's all. We spent 5 days there and paid 2K for a master suite that reportedly on the website, has two bedrooms despite the second bedroom is just an open space with a very uncomfortable sofa bed. The sofa bed is apparently only for kids up to 12years old, well that was only said to us once we checked in and complained. At the check in ,no one showed us the room or offered help with the luggage, we were sent to the bedroom quite quickly with no explanation about anything. The breakfast is HORRIFIC, for the entire stay I asked for an apple or a pear for my son (This hotel is marketed as family and baby friendly) and for 5 consecutive days they told me that they didn't receive the fruit delivery. The quality of food and beverages was extremely poor, literally the worst of our lives and not representative of Italian quality. The staff barely acknowledges you both at reception and in the dining areas. When you ask something they seem annoyed as if you are asking for huge favours. We also madd the mistake to try their restaurant. Both service and food were underwhelming. No baby food either was offered on the menu nor for breakkie neither for dinner (again this is supposed to be a family friendly hotel). The play areas for children outside is not well kept and the internal area is basically a conference room with small windows and very dirty floor and soft play. Very sad. The hotel has some nice touches however our room that was supposed to be the best of the selection was just about nice. The interiors clash as the room is all wood with antique furniture, but then I have the bathrooms that are al white and made of"modern" materials. They were anyway chipped and not very clean. Last but not least, our bedsheets were nest to a handful of spiders several times despite having asked to check them and to bring new fresh sheets. These 5 days were followed by 5 days in a family resorts in the Dolomites where for nearly half the price we had a wonderful huge room, 3/4 pension where the food selection and quality was equal to a Michelin starred restaurant and they also had fresh food on baby's menu everyday. With everyday different choices. This was only a part of it as they also had nursery, baby clubs, in and outdoor playing, mud rooms, trampoline and climbing walls, a wooden lab and wonderful spa facilities included in the price. Whilst at Valle di Assisi an entrance of 2h in the family spa had to be paid separately for 45wuros each adult....crazy stuff really. Conclusion, don't go to Valle di Assisi, you'll be ripped off and be disappointed. Go to the family resorts in alto adige where they know what real hospitality is.
