Needed a quick getaway. Overall I was quite surprised. The location sitting on top of the mountain was unbelievable. The views were gorgeous, perfect sunset sunrises and overall, the place was clean and the amenities were of high quality. Thirty minutes to the town of boom, which had a lot too offer.Highly recommend.

Bed Bugs The only reason I give this a one star is the view. The cabin itself was the worst I have stayed in since I have been vacationing in the mountains at least once a year for 20 years. The main reason was on the main floor bedroom, we had bed bugs that ate us up. I have whelps all over my chest and legs and itch like crazy. I ended up sleeping on the couch afraid to lay in any beds. Thankfully, we were only there two nights or would have left early. Next, remote for TV downstairs would not work. It turned TV on but nothing else. Could not even turn it off. The remote in main living room had no battery cover and only one of two batteries. So watching TV was out of the question. It was 32 degrees Saturday night and a fire would have been nice, but the fire place did not work. First night we arrived the instructions to get into cabin was wrong. It said "From the outside, press the Home logo and enter 4 digits". This did not work after several tries. I tried calling the number I had for the cabin and no answer. I tried again and no answer. Finally, my daughter figured out to not hit the Home button as it said and it worked. But, thanks for answering my call as we are standing out in the dark helpless and cannot get into the cabin. Later I found out the back was unlocked and open the whole time. This was a terrible experience. Cabin is small and cramped. Get ready to climb stairs if you rent this cabin. Again, this is the worst cabin I have had experienced in 20 years.

Tranquil and quiet space What a lovely mountain top home with views of the beautiful mountain scapes. The home offered us a place to unwind in close proximity to West Jefferson. The host was gracious and responsive. We will add this home to our favorite list.

Perfect views Our stay was fantastic. We were 2 families with a total of 4 adults and 2 eight year old children. The kids had a blast and loved the room with bunk beds and the 2 other rooms were master suites. (Perfect) Our views of the blue ridge from the porch were perfect in every way and I would highly recommend waking up for the sunrise. The host was so easy to work with and available any time if we had concerns. Helpful tips: - Bring extra paper towels toilet paper. - If you want any special utensils or kitchen tools bring yours. (Lime juicer, cookie racks, sharp knives) Fantastic stay and we will be coming back in the future! Thank you!
