This was cheapest room I Oban I could find at short notice that wasn't a dorm or a hotel with terrible reviews. Access to hotel room via link in email (hadn't met this sort of thing before, but it all worked ok after a bit of fiddling); red, black and grey decor pretty strange esp glowy red light under bed (which thankfully you can switch off)! You don't meet any staff - it's a moduler hotel, there are no windows in the rooms, although the air-com works really well. Bathroom ensuite, great shower, nice and clean. I was £89 for one night. Location is literally 20 seconds away from the railway station on one side and the ferry terminal on the other. NO KETTLE though - which is a lack, especially in the evening when cafes all closed - though they do provide you with a bottle of mineral water. Free wifi, large TV in rooms (which you can connect via bluetooth to headphones). Pretty noisy with doors slamming, people coming and going, but I slept fine once it quietened down. To state the obvious, the room is pretty dark, given the lack of windows....but I slept fairly well. Was glad to get out into the fresh air the following morning though.
