Princess Hotel

I was apprehensive due to some of the bad reviews however have had a lovely time in this hotel. The breakfast is continental with some hot food. No you can't have a full English here but go back to weatherspoons if that's what you want. You are in greece! This is a lovely small greek family run hotel. Staff are pleasant and warm. Rooms are fairly small but have everything you need. We had a renovated room and yes their standard of DIY isn't to the standard of the UK but you are in Greece and it is a 3 star not a 5 star. Pool area is relaxing quiet music throughout the day and nice layout. Could do with cleaning the sides where the sunbeds are but doesn't ruin your holiday. Location is excellent as its one of the only hotels on the flat road all the others are up or down hills. Restaurants and beach nearby are excellent. Sleep quality is fab no loud music so guaranteed a good sleep here too! All in all a relaxing peaceful place to stay.

Rooms were cleaned every day, bedding and towels changed every few days. Nice basic fresh breakfast (not for you if you can't live without beloved bacon or other processed food like some other guests 🤣) polite hard working staff. Lovely restaurants nearby . The hotel is basic but I didn't have a problem with that, I wasn't there to watch TV for hours. Nice pool area, with a nice size and depth for children. Beach is across the road. Taxi to the capital costs 8 euro.

The hotel on the whole isn’t bad just needs updating and a good clean. The swimming pool is nice but it’s never cleaned around the edges looking at it the mess around needs jet washing. Bathroom very poor shower curtain is need of changing to glass screens the baths are not big enough and the shower curtain clings to you. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast well this is definitely not what we expected unless you like eggs don’t bother extremely disappointing. Apart from that the hotel is comfortable and the staff to us are very friendly

This hotel is false advertising its rooms on its website , our room was old , with seriously old battered furniture, a bathroom that had the bath and toilet painted in some strange paint that was peeling - not what I would call a “refurb”. The balcony was tiny, myself and my husband could not sit on the balcony together. The bed was okay and the pillows were comfy. The air con was okay. The tv Ariel was broken. I went to reception straight away to say this is not what is shown online, she told me come back in the morning and speak to the lady on reception. So that’s what I did…I have never encountered someone so RUDE before, she told me the photos on the website are in black and white and that’s why they look different….no the furniture and whole style is different. She told me be happy with what I have, I said I would be had I got what I paid for. She just kept laughing at me whilst talking in Greek on the phone at the same time. There is ZERO customer service or customer satisfaction at this hotel, they literally do NOT CARE!!!! and apparently find it rather funny. I messaged on booking app and had a couple of reply’s but nothing was actually done. I also told her our tv doesn’t work she said none of them do - tried to explain it’s because of broken Ariel. I don’t care too much about that tv as we didn’t use however when we mentioned late one night to bar man the next day it was fixed and shock horror it worked - I knew she was lying. Vile woman. Breakfast is vile - enough said. Pool is nice, sun beds are not comfy. Barman was lovely and so were all the other staff we encountered. I won’t return to this hotel in the future. It is a shame as it looked so lovely on line however the outdated rooms , advertised as different and updated , and that horrible lady lets the place down massively!

Just recently spent 11 nights at the princess hotel , never again . The rooms are not same as they show on line very small and the balcony is to small to sit on we had a ground floor terrace which we never used as it looked what it was disgusting . The cleaner barely gets round to clean your room and when she does you don’t know she’s been in , the breakfasts were falsely advertised we never saw a full English breakfast just cake tinned peaches and toast with some sort of egg flan , the woman that worked the bar in the day was constantly trying to short change you . On the plus side the pool was well maintained and very cool which you needed , the night bar man was the only one that I thought was friendly . Enjoyed our stay in kefalonia we will definitely be returning but never to that hotel .

The only good things about this hotel are; its location, pool/bar area and the friendly staff. The breakfast is a joke (instant coffee of poor quality & orange cordial), bread that is stale and strange combinations of a rubbery eggy substance. I complained to Jet2 a few days after we arrived about the appalling breakfast, the Rep (Jane) came to the hotel and ate breakfast. Sadly she never came back to us with an outcome. The rooms are pokey, dirty and in need of an urgent update. Way, way below our expectations!
