Maria's Garden Apartments

We stayed for one week in duplex no 21. It was really lovely, a view to die for. just loved sitting watching the crews ships sailing by and amazing sunsets. The rooms are very clean, bedding and towels just how i like to see them. Great fridge freezer. Pool area great comfy sun beds. We got off to a rocky, start my brother jumped in the pool after 9pm. wrong thing to do i know. He did apologise to the owner next morning, and he got a stern telling off. He did not do it again. Never the less we had a super time. George and Denise work very well together. The food is very good. George cooked us a special meal on our last night. It was fabulous, Thank you George and to all the bar staff.

We visited for 10 days mid September, after a chaotic 5 years we just wanted some peace and relaxation. Plus points were - A fantastic location overlooking the resort. Very peaceful, absolutely zero traffic noise. Fantastic pool area, lots of sunbeds and fixed umbrellas. Bar area really spacious and bar staff absolutely amazing, the food was very good and reasonably priced compared to the resort. The negatives, only minor issues really - The studios were fairly basic though clean and everything seemed to work (sort of), lovely shower. A bit of a lack of privacy with only a small partition between rooms. The aircon was inconsistent, it was set by the manager so you couldn't change the setting. We didn't really take to Lassi especially at night time, lots of people piling out of hotels. We felt like a bit of a commodity during our visits to various tavernas, not the Old School Greece we crave for. In summary though we did have a lovely relaxing time, the complex is very well run and organised and the staff can not do enough for you. Big mention to George, Denise and Fotina (hopefully this is the right spelling).

Had a wonderful week at this hotel. We had an amazing front view over the beaches and the room whilst small was typically Greek and adequate for what we needed. We were delayed when arrived but the lovely bar staff made us some chips at 11.30pm at night despite being close to finishing their shift and we were very grateful for this simple snack after a long day travelling and delays. The air con not having the control to adjust the temperature yourself was something I’ve never experienced before and was a bit of an annoyance as in the middle of the night it could get quite cold but you’d need it at the colder temp during the evening. I am aware at reception you could ask someone to change the temp but by the time we would have changed it we would then need to make it cooler again another time. Just a feedback that was one of the only sort of irking things about the stay really. Yes there’s the hill the walk down was fine in the morning the way up we just got a taxi for €7 a time but could have walked it was just being lazy and the view was so worth it There wasn’t a late checkout ability but there was good shower rooms to use with all toiletries provided so this wasn’t so bad A lovely stay on a good central area to the night street for restaurants and beaches. Would highly recommend and glad we visited.

Great food, relaxing atmosphere and with Fotini, Denise, George and Anna looking after you all it's a fantastic place to be. It feels like visiting family. Would highly recommend a visit if you are in kefalonia. The sunset is a wonder to behold.

We stayed at the Nikos apartments across the road for the last 4 nights and visited here every day for either drinks,lunch or dinner. The food was amazing with incredible views to enjoy whilst we ate! We saw a beautiful sunset one evening. The staff were excellent too, so friendly and welcoming . Thank you.

This was our second visit to Olive Gardens, we loved it so much last year we booked a return visit for this year while still at the resort. Last year we stayed in a 1 bed apartment room number 22, which was lovely and the views were sensational but was maybe a little small for the 3 of us, this year we stayed in room number 7 which was a split level 2 bed duplex and this was amazing (well worth the upgrade). We were slightly worried as it was directly behind the pool bar but we did not need to worry at all it was so quiet day and night. A special mention has to be to George and Denise who make this resort in my opinion, they literally made us feel like family from day one, nothing was too much trouble and they are the nicest people you could meet! The rooms are spotlessly clean, the location and views are stunning and the swimming pool is lovely. There was a mention about the chemicals in the pool, my 10 year old has very bad eczema and we showered him before and after swimming as the signs state and we had no problems at all in the 10 days we were there. This resort is a gem, it never gets busy and there are always loungers available any time of day. Thank you again George, Denise, Bill and The Olive Garden team we will be back again some day soon to your beautiful apartments, Thank you for having us all.
