Hotel Valea cu Pesti

If I could not give a star, I would. It is the worst hotel I have ever been to. I took a New Year's break with half board. When we arrived at the hotel, we were very happy to enjoy the swimming pool, the cold water, the old and poor food. Every day, the same breakfast as if they were glued, each in its place. Disoriented and inexperienced waiters, they tried to be kind. On New Year's Eve I asked for butter to put on a bun, actually everything was prepared long before, old, hard, dry, only one dish near the end with fish was good. The candy bar was also good, you could see that it is not their merit, but that of a good confectionary. They tried to charge us extra for the lunch bill. At the end, also, there was an extra water at check out. The only nice people were the cleaners, some lovely ladies, I hope they appreciate them because they were. kind When they brought the champagne, they put us a little on the bottom of the glass, if you asked, they refilled it, but it was annoying to ask at the table. Old furniture, small bathrooms with problems: water without pressure, the sink clogs... the linens were clean, cleanliness was... just that everything is old... ugly what you saw on the balcony, a wall, an ugly roof.. .I don't know how it got good reviews, honestly, how it has 4 stars is a mystery to me. We were not the only ones who were unhappy, jokes about the base could be heard from all the tables lacks. I leave this review in the hope that it helps someone in the future, for us the fact is consumed.

Great view and services. Nice room with classic furniture, comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Perfect mornings on the balcony. Trips to Vidraru and boat ammenities. Nice people with good service and attentive. Good and varied food. Overall nice weekend break for an autumn season

The location and the view from the restaurant is great, the staff is very attentive (though very busy and constantly running to cover all the tables so it takes a while to get served), but for a 4* accommodation the food was not even close to being good. My fried lamb was very undercooked and chewy and my partner’s pasta was lacking any flavors.

We ejoyed a lovely 3 nights stay at Hotel Valea cu Pesti, in one of the attic apartments. The aartement was very clean, everything functional. The hotel staff was very friendly. Food is decent, nothing fancy but ok and the views are amazing, as you can see the Vidraru Lake from any place in the hotel. The spa area was very nice, clean. The hotel was quiet, despite it bring fully booked, but people were civilized. It is right accrods the street from the area where you can go to the lake for a nice boat trip. The hotel also has a bowling and table tenis area, we did not try it, but others seemed to have fun with that. Overall, great value for money!
