Tufton Arms Hotel ★★★

"Lovely warm welcome, loved traditional feel to hotel. Bedroom comfortable, every thing you would need. Good early breakfast, perfectly timed to catch the train. Well worth the price for my one night stay, and what a charming village Appleby is."

Appleby Castle ★★★

"The facilities are extremely old. The room booked on the day of check-in is broken. The entire castle is broken down. You can only stay in the rooms outside. Although the price is higher, you have to stay in an old house when booking here."

Royal Oak Appleby ★★★★

"Enjoyed our stay, nice room and good evening meal and breakfast. Only downside only 3 car parking spaces, had to park on road opposite."

Appleby Manor Hotel & Garden Spa ★★★★

"Good reception and helpful staff does not usually get 5/5 from me as its a minimum. But restaurant served starter as a main and salad exactly as requested and both meals were excellent, no confusion. Good light weight food. Well done all round."
