I would say one of the better properties along the Great Ocean Road. We stayed here for 2 nights, we were too late for booking the seaview villa so we had the partial seaview. Which means seaview over the driveway looking past the villa in front of you from bedroom and spa bath. House is very spacious with 2 large bathrooms, a separate spa bathroom, separate laundry room, large terrace at the back with BBQ area overlooking their new garden and eucalyptus trees. The house has all the amenities you might want or need and they are all of good quality: nespresso machine with milk frother which I found fantastic. Big kitchen with lots of pans, cutlery, bowls etc and with oven, microwave, large induction cooker etc. Good fireplace that was easy to light up. Bathrooms had double shower heads, good water pressure and nice shower gel etc. Super comfy large bed. Also a supercomfy sofa in the living room. The only thing is there was carpet on the floor in the bedroom and we prefer tiles or wood which is easier to keep clean (underfloor heating for winter time) and the hardware on all windows and doors was old. Hard to open the windows in the 2nd bedroom, wobble doorknob on door to terrace. I thought the decor was a bit dated as well - tiles in bathroom, kitchen cabinets. The taps at the bathroom sinks were placed wrongly so whenever you sued the tap, half the water flowed behind the bowl instead of in the washbasin bowl. These were minor things though, highly recommend this place. Location is close to Apollo Bay and right on the Great Ocean Road, where you can walk to the beach by just crossing the road. Therefore it is nice and quiet except for the roar of the sea. They have eucalyptus trees as the back of the property and we were lucky enough to have 3 koala's relaxing in the trees. We were in villa 1 which definitely has the worst view - mostly of villa 2 in front of you. And when cars drive up the driveway, they have their headlights shining straight into your living area (there are good curtains though) Villa 2 and 4 are the full seaview ones and villa 3 is accessible for everyone but has a meadow with sheep next to the house (we had trees) and the living room and terrace has seaview. Loved our stay, super comfortable, great hosts, very responsive, easy check-in, great recommendations (WildLife Wonders tour was great)

One of the best experiences I’ve had. I rarely write reviews but decided to as this place is deservedly so. Friendly nice owner. Amazing front view of the ocean and especially from the hot tub. The house is glassy and elegant yet organic and chilled at the same time. We loved just sitting by the fireplace looking and listening to the ocean right in front of us. A memorable and wonderful place.

Stunning villa with an awesome view, Koalas just a minute away, wonderful breakfast hamper. The villa had everything you could possibly need and more, 2 beautiful bedrooms and bathrooms, it was spotlessly clean, the spa bath had a wonderful ocean view. Loved the verandah with the swinging seat. Perfect

Great place to stop on the great ocean road. Just wish we had booked more nights!! A quality stop on the road between Melbourne and Adelaide. Really good place. Luxurious, great views over the ocean and a little bit of feel good! Overall Outstanding!

Fabulous accommodation, kitchen facilities, location, staff - everything was perfect …………… wouldn’t change a thing …………… stayed for 3 days ……… Wonderful to come back to such a lovely place after having a long walk………….. Thank you very much, we will be back

If you like to stay in a wonderful place near Apollo Bay, Great Ocean Road, then you are here at the right place. Wonderful ocean view, very nice villas and and a most lovely landlady. The villas are beautiful!!! The views to the sea are amazing, and we could even see wild koalas in the backyard!! We loved the silence, the confort of the rooms, beds, and bathrooms. In the villa we found plenty of small details that talk about the care with which you are treated and the sustainable way in which it is managed; local and organic amenities, local and fair trade products for breakfast, native garden, water and energy efficiency measures and waste management :) The jacuzzi was spectacular! Thank you Chocolate Gannets again!!!!

Location, view and the cabins are amazing. The host has taken care off all details making the experience as awesome! Thanks for this beautiful holidays. It was my first time to see wild koalas just in the backyard, just priceless moment after a nice walk by the beach

Five star amenities. Linen and towels of the highest quality. Furnishings immaculate. Full kitchen, laundry if you need it. All this and a fair dinkum log fire. Plentiful wood pile split and stacked! Kick back with a cracking open fire looking straight at the beach and ocean uninterrupted. I want to live here! Lilli was a marvellous host... discreet but always contactable. Definately value for money. Thank you.

We stayed at Chocolate Gannets for 2 nights and were blown away by this beautiful property! Stunning views, immaculate rooms and every convenience you could wish for, down to the bottle of bubbles and chocolate for the spa! No need to leave this superb property as everything else will disappoint. We cannot wait to return!

Excellent host. Villa was clean & well equipped. All the amenities were available and up to date. Host provided all information to make our stay comfortable.It was also strategically located. Owner, Lili was meticulous in all aspects that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. I will definitely return to this accommodation in my next trip. It was a very memorable stay and we felt very warm despite it is winter season.
