I am not normally one for writing bad reviews, always trying to find the good in something but this place truly does warrant a review where I am as honest as required. NOT a 4* hotel! This place is Faulty Towers on Speed! On arrival everything looks good, friendly receptionists. Taken to our room (no help with luggage and taken via several sets of sets despite struggling with 8 cases and a buggy with a 6 month old). Ignoring several broken and dangerous slabs en route we made it to our room. Promising start...sea and pool view with really comfortable beds. Storage for clothes lacking somewhat but we can cope with that (with 3 kids....) Made our way down to the pool, dodging broken slabs again and happily found a sunbed each. Then from here the whole holiday hit the rocks...... Pool area damaged with broken vents, hardly any tiles left on the bottom of the pool but in piles next to the pool, some dodgy water slides with filthy steps turned on and off periodically, swamp areas with lots of wasps and water pouring out from overflowing vents, small rubbish bins overflowing with rubbish, broken sunbeds (apparently they throw them over the pool wall into the bushes when done with them), a scrappy looking bar with one waiter (who's not there a lot of the time) and plenty of bugs floating or sinking in the pool. Not sure if the pool is treated or not, I certainly didn't see any kind of pool maintenance. All inclusive......what!? I began to dread feeding time at the zoo....meals were shocking. About 4 meal choices for lunch, tired looking pasta, no real salad to speak of and get ready for reheated food from the day before. Same with dinner, any different food put out gone within 5 minutes and not replenished. Nothing suitable for younger children and even our 5 year old said he didn't want to eat anything at lunch or dinner. Getting a drink if more people join your party once served initially is a nightmare. We ended up buying our own drink and meals in the local town. One plus at lunch and dinner a lot more staff around to clear plates and serve than breakfast and during the day. The staff are worth a mention as all but one seemed very friendly. The one lady never smiled at breakfast and did not come across very friendly. She seemed put out when we asked for more breakfast bowls and said 'yes yes they are bringing more soon'. You must be quick to get to meals on time as food is quickly cleared away and lights turned off dead on the time they finish. One breakfast we turned up at 9.30, lights turned off at 9.50, food cleared away by 9.58. People still walking about with plates to get food but not able to get anything. Several of the party (including our children) had upset stomachs on at least one occasion. Upon complaining to our holiday provider we were amused to see the hotel manager popping up some nights going around tables whilst people were eating asking if they were enjoying their stay....I would have complained to him but what difference w
