My experience is of a small, beautiful family run hotel that has everything you need and excellent service. The owners Pavlos & Elena and their staff always greeted you with a warm smile, were very welcoming, polite, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. A top floor Room with TV, aircon, a safe plus comfortable beds, with a daily immaculate clean by Linda. It had the most amazing views from the balcony of the sea, mountains, stunning sunsets and on certain days even sheep grazing in the surrounding countryside which was a lovely surprise. The buffet breakfasts and dinners at the hotel provided lots of choice. Maria freshly prepared the most delicious local dishes, which you could not find in the nearby restaurants. Maria in Reception was onsite to give a helpful hand [two lovely Maria's 😊] The pool is a good size… not too deep so perfect for families with children too. It was a restful haven for me as it was very quiet in early June, and sometimes I had the pool all to myself! The pebbly beach is only a 5 min walk and is manned with a lifeguard. It felt very private, was a bit rugged with unspoilt surroundings and beautiful panoramic views. There are sandy beaches a few metres away and the sea was clear and warm ... you could walk in up to about 200m safely. There is a road nearby, but the traffic goes unnoticed because of the hotel’s calm environment. There are buses that stop outside the hotel, taking you to Rethymno, Georgioupolis and Chania for only 2.50 – 5 euros. Kavros is a 10min walk along a dusty road with several bars, restaurants, supermarkets, gift shops and tour guides. A little train runs from here every hour to pretty Lake Kournas. There were a few guests staying who returned each year which is always a good sign - a good mix of solo travellers, friends and families. All were very gracious, sometimes joining for drinks at the pool bar with a warm and cheerful welcome from Dragan the barman. Pavlos, the owner even generously invited the guests to a small gathering to celebrate his birthday providing the largest Pizza’s I have ever seen! I wanted tranquility and found it at the Ermioni Hotel, but an added bonus was the friendships made and the laughter we enjoyed! Fondest memories of this holiday in an unspoilt location of natural beauty, …a little sanctuary that I hope to have the pleasure of visiting again 🙏 Efharisto… Pavlos, Elena, Maria, Linda, Maria and Dragan for your hospitality, friendship and kindness. Hotel familial à taille humaine, calme et convivial Chambre bien équipée, bonne literie, rangement suffisant Terrasse appréciable (même en demi sous-sol) Taille de la piscine parfaite, espace aux alentours agréable, y compris le bar, un endroit sympathique pour y passer du temps Facile d'accès (voiture et bus) Parking spacieux Propreté générale Petit déjeuner varié, large choix Wi-Fi pas toujours au top de sa forme La salle de bains pourrait être un peu plus moderne (douche étroite avec rideaux qui collent à la peau) mais elle reste tout à fait fonctionnelle ainsi

Petit hôtel familial vétuste de premier abord mais où nous n’avons manqué de rien . Chambre sous sol que ns avons appréciée car terrasse à l’ombre et au frais ! Climatisation comprise dedans et sans surplus de prix ! Frigo à disposition ds la chambre et coffre fort . Nettoyage chaque jour très propre ! Changement du linge également ! Franchement à notre arrivée nous étions sceptiques car hôtel vieillot mais sans regret à la fin de notre séjour. Personnel sympa pas très causant mais discret et serviable . Tano par contre très gentil ouvert et réponds très bien à ttes nos demandes . Piscine très propre sans horaire des 6 h je me baigne ! Repas faits maison rien de chez métro! Petits déjeuner super copieux et variés : génial! Point négatif le repas du soir : service 19/20h c’est trop tôt et trop court on mange trop vite Je recommande aussi l’emplacement ! Plage à 5 min et entre Heraklion et chania au bord de l’axe central! Donc pr un séjour tranquille pas trop cher sans blingbling foncez!
