The hotel is situated in a secure area on the edge of the old town about 10 minutes’ walk to the central plaza. It is authentic in style and decorated to a high standard. Our room was spacious and well equipped with a comfortable bed and extensive soft seating area. The bathroom was the only negative aspect. There is a very low beam just as you enter the bathroom which needs anyone above average height to duck. Good shower with plenty of hot water although this is over a bath rather than a separate shower cubicle.

We reserved all 6 rooms, we had a hotel just for our group and we had an amazing holiday. Rooms are very well equipped and big and from the rooftop is a very nice view of volcanos. There is a patio with a lot of flowers and a sitting area. Very nice decoration. We loved it.

Thank you for a beautiful and relaxing stay! Vivian at the front desk went out of her way to make us comfortable. When we arrived, the room was not ready, but after an exhausting volcano hike, she got us into a different available room earlier. They helped us arrange transportation and we had a beautiful yummy breakfast on the balcony! We would love to stay here again if we are ever back.

We had an amazing stay at hotel cacao! We booked out the entire place for our friends to celebrate a 10 year vow renewal and the space was perfect. The rooms were all large with private bathrooms. A shared kitchen and terrace made breakfasts feel so charming and beautiful. The staff were amazing! Oscar even went out of his way to find something’s I had left behind. Only negative is that the beds were a little hard and could use either a new mattress or something to make it a little more soft. Regardless, would still highly recommend this place for the vibe and price you can’t beat it!

Cacao Hotel is a quaint hotel with only 6 rooms. The staff is extremely attentive and the property itself and the interior courtyard is beautiful. The included breakfast has 5 or 6 choices and was very good. The bed was comfortable and there was fresh drinking water in the room every day. The location is about 15-20 minute walk from the main attractions but they was no noise to be had at night. Thank you Oscar for being so friendly !!!

Personnel incapable de parler anglais Service minimum N’ai payé pour une double petit déjeuner compris ,finalement je suis restée seule en acceptant le même prix que pour une double . Le lendemain j’ai demandé du pain en supplément l’hôtel voulait me le facturer … Petit déjeuner basique jus d’orange industriel Pas assez de serviettes de toilette .

Un real hotel boutique con excelente servicio. Todo el personal muy amable y atento. Las instalaciones muy bonitas (cama y almohadas muy cómodas). La ubicación permite estar en La Antigua pero suficientemente alejada del bullicio del centro.
