We arrived at this hotel which took some time to find as it was covered in scaffolding. It was 2.30 and check-in apparently was 3pm. The hotel wanted to charge us £10 for half hour early check in, incredible! The hotel is dated and reception is up two flights of stairs with no lift. It is a basic 70s hotel with weak wifi. Our room had a massive air conditioning funnel right outside which was our view. The bathroom was definitely in need of attention with the shower in the bath. The hot tap would not turn off and the cold was difficult to turn. We mentioned it to the hotel and they just said they were waiting for it to be fixed. The towels were hard and frayed and there was one just slung in the middle of the floor in a heap when we checked in. On the plus side the breakfast was lovely traditional Scottish with a Lorne Sausage and Tatie scone. There was no evening meal so we had to find a restaurant in the vicinity.

Stayed here for 1 night. Hotel was nice and clean. Room very spacious with everything we needed. Staff really lovely and helpful. Amazing full Scottish breakfast. Lots of choice Real value for money. Great coffees Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 1 night while on a stop over in Annan, hotel is on the main street in town and has it's own car park. Hotel is slightly dated but rooms were clean with good shower and tea/coffee with kettle. Breakfast is available at additional cost but we were away early in the morning before it was served. Good hotel for a short stay.

Was a bit worried about staying here on a Friday night after the reports of noise at weekends. However this was not the case, we slept well with the window open, no pub noise, and lovely staff. Clean and functional bedrooms. Would definitely stay again. Good value for money.

This was the worst hotel we have ever stopped in. The reception is up two flights of stairs with no lift. The room window overlooked the kitchen extractor. The bed was lumpy and god knows how old along with the rest of the furniture. The restaurant not open in evening although advertised. Slipped and fell in the shower due to no anti-slip in the bath. Zero response from the management when reported or when contacted by the "buy a gift" team, ruined a 70th birthday present

It's been our first visit to Scotland and because we didn't want to drive for hours we chose annan because it was the nearest part of scotland to us. Wow I wish I had been before, the Corner House was just a lovely place to stay, it was clean, cozy and the staff so welcoming and friendly and it was right in the middle of the high street which was so convenient, along with on site free parking. The hotel was over the top of a pub called the Shed which had a lovely atmosphere and music as well as sport on the TV. Annan itself was a lovely place with plenty of little pubs and a few shops and an interesting museum and a small harbour.The commercial inn down the road was lively with kareoke and full of characters that were friendly. All in all a very positive experience and we would go back there anytime.

Great value hotel & breakfast. Rooms clean and facilities just as needed for an overnight stay . Staff extremely friendly and helpful . Boxing match held in venue below which didn’t affect our stay . Lovely coffee shop and licenced bar on site . Parking adequate for our trip . Would definitely use the hotel again if in the area again .

Here now Don't come here if you've had a long journey and want a peaceful night. Rooms are above a very noisy bar with live music blaring. Went to reception to ask to change rooms and the best they could offer was earplugs Maybe you should warn people when they book that sleep will be impossible until the early hours Certainly won't be back.

Great wee hotel old and quirky Fantastic staff very helpful and couldn’t do enough for you Breakfast was excellent and cooked breakfast very tasty and great choice Room clean and comfortable and great location in centre of Annan 5 star all round will definitely be back !!!!!

A lovely hotel but very noisy at night. Also no hot water late at night. Wanted a shower when I came home about 11 and no hot water :( Staff were friendly and breakfast was great! Could do with a full length mirror and hooks on doors too would’ve been nice.

Absolutely horrendous place was placed in room 110 to hear 6 full hours of thud thud thud from 5pm till 11pm. The shouting and swearing from pub below was horrendous and staff totally useless. Avoid at all costs i ask for a refund as room above a pub was not what i booked or the noise staff were clueless was told darts would Finnish at 10pm but it actually finnished at 11.12pm. Will wait for owners response.

Lovely wee old hotel...staff absolutely lovely....Abby checked me in and helped me carry my bags up to the room , Nicola served breakfast every day and was always working hard and ensured we had everything we needed and Madison and Mark on the bar were also very nice and made us feel welcome...give these guys a pay rise...From Robert...room 208..

Friendly staff, good location, plenty of parking. But...loud music from adjacent pub meant no sleep till 2am. Room was clean and nicely appointed. Would stay again but not on a weekend due to noise. Earplugs essential

Nice clean hotel with friendly staff, which worked as a good stop off near to the M6/M74, but a poor night's sleep due to the bar below the back of the hotel. We live on a main road and are used to noise but the loud music, emptying of glass bottles and drunk shouting in the street was excessive and went on late (+1am) and we wouldn't stay again for that reason. Would be okay if you also want to stay up very late, but placement of a family room at the back of the hotel doesn't work.
