The Barefoot at Havelock

Our stay at Barefoot was magical. Everything exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Firstly, I would like to thank the staff at Barefoot for making our stay a memorable one. Their dedication to their roles shows through their hard work, attention to the small details (such as remembering our coffee order!) also bringing me food to the room when I was feeling unwell. A special mention to Jack and Suresh - their restaurant service was immaculate. Dev the bartender & his team with their amazing cocktails.Trilochan the chef, he would come and chat to the guests during dinner which was a nice touch. Prathamesh & Rubin the onsite knowledgeable and friendly naturalist guides, with their passion for nature and wildlife. I celebrated my 30th birthday during our stay, my partner and the staff at barefoot organised a surprise dinner on the beach under the stars - a birthday to remember! The rooms are comfortable, rustic and close to nature. The nicest beach on Havelock is a stone throw away from the rooms and you can hear the sound of waves crashing in the early morning. The restaurant food quality is some of the best we had during our time in India (lobster curry is a must!) Highly recommend Barefoot for those looking for a memorable experience on Havelock Island!

The staffs are extremely friendly and they took extreme care for us to have the best hospitality experience. Resort and food is little expensive but would be worth it when you get to enjoy both the beach and the forest stay experience. Must Try!

Excellent experience. We had a very memorable stay. The staff took care of every need and made the experience memorable and special. We celebrated our daughter’s first birthday in this resort. They surprised us with their gestures like the decorations in the room and also arranged a beautiful setup on the beach ensuring a very personalised celebration.

Amazing experience. We truly felt like we were being taken care of by the hospitality team and restaurant staff. The location is excellent and the environment is very serene. It felt truly like a peaceful and relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Right next to the beautiful Radhanagar beach. All the staff were so nice and polite. The restaurant food was amazing as well. They customized the menu for us and cooked all sorts of dying Bengali delicacies cooked to perfection. Jagganath babu and Shankha Subhra from the restaurant were amazing. Even the housekeeping staffs, Nandu and others were extremely helpful. We felt like the staff were taking care of us like we were their house guest. We felt at home there. Only feedback: increasing the size of the additional bed for 3 people occupancy. Provide 2 chairs inside the rooms apart from the easy chairs kept outside the rooms, may be the interior roads could be made slightly smoother for older guests to walk around while still keeping the jungle vibe of the place. Honestly speaking, we didn't feel like coming back and extended our stay by 1 day. Lastly we loved the no TV concept of the place. It really instigated my parents and I to talk and connect with each other which was the goal of our trip to truly spend time with each other.

We had an amazing stay at Barefoot. Its right in the middle of forest with a private beach just a 5 mins walk away. We booked a nicobari cottage and a tented cottage. Both were really good. Barefoot is for people who want serene and peaceful environment. The staff here at the reception and dinner area both are so welcoming.

One of the lovely places that we stayed for New Years - Great experience, great place to stay, great hospitality, Serene, Right on the best beach of Asia (Radhanagar Beach). In fact the location at which this resort is there is not crowded at all (Slightly away from the public entry of the beach). New Years eve was also very well managed. This resort is one of those places where one would come back again and again to relax and unwind. Some of the people who made our trip memorable: Thimmaiah - Serai reservation office associate (To start with) Sushmita, Neha and others at the reception of Barefoot Jack, Chef Thriloknath - For the awesome food and service Prathamesh - Great naturalist and photograhper Robin - Another great naturalist and localite Barefoot Scuba - What an experience in scuba diving. They are very professional and had a lifetime experience underwater. Special kudos to Jobin and Vidhut who took us underwater and Avtar for underwater photography. In fact, I would like to specially thanks Vidhut for singing Kishore Kumar songs underwater at 11 metres below - That was a fascinating moment - He song 5-6 songs underwater - Truly awesome. Lastly, Sumit, owner of Barefoot, who was there for the New Years eve driving the whole event by himself and making sure everything goes well. Hats off to him for making this place a heaven for anyone to come and stay and enjoy Havelock to the fullest. One of the best experiences and we would be going back to this place again and again for sure. Thanks Barefoot team
