Breakfast and Bar Staff A
Front desk staff needs training in basic customer service. Visited the front desk every morning, not one greeting. Lazy at best. On my last day, I asked Payton (I think was her name?…Monday morning person) for a print out of my folio, her response was we’ll email it to you. I asked, “you guys don’t provide printed copies?” She didn’t give me at least one syllable of an answer, she just printed and handed me the sheet. Perhaps I interrupted her texting or whatever she was doing on her personal phone when I walked up. I then asked her if there was a hat that was turned in, she said nothing was turned in to her. I said, well..just because she didn’t see it, doesn’t mean it wasn’t turned in. I asked if there was a log where things were logged when turned in, she flat out lied and said “no”. As she lied, Whit walked up and I asked him if there was a log and he pulled out the log and kindly looked.
I had another unhelpful experience with an Iris the night before…same situation. She just didn’t want to work.
On a more positive note…the breakfast staff was attentive, friendly, and kind. I noticed they greeted everyone with a smile.
I highly recommend basic hospitality training for the front desk staff…at the very least, have recommendations for things to see and do. When I asked, it was “I don’t know”.
