Hotel Abba is a budget hotel in an excellent location in a wonderful Amsterdam area close to Rijksmuseum and Vondelpark. In this area you'll find cafés, restaurants and get a city vibe without being overrun by other tourists. There are trams stopping right outside but I typically walked to Leidseplein to take the tram to Asterdam Centraal as starting point. This is a one star hotel so expectations should be managed. I booked a single room with shared bathroom for several nights. When booking, I did not want a party-hotel in the Red Light district where I had to smell smoke non-stop and I did not want to sleep in a shared dorm. For most other hotels that would have landed me with a hotel cost significantly higher than what I paid, so I was happy to find this option. The room itself was functional. The bed was narrow but not uncomfortable. The room was worn but clean. I did hear the neighboring rooms quite a lot, but the hotel has signs in the room that things should be quiet after 22. The room was non-smoking, which was good. The room had an outdoor section which I believe was NOT non-smoking as I could smell the neighbors there. The bathroom was shared by maybe 3 or so rooms, but I never saw anybody else go in there. Both the toilet area and the shower were clean, no complaints. As my room had a sink, soap and hairdryer, it wasn't inconvenient or a hassle to share the bathroom- it worked fine. A continental breakfast was included, ie yoghurt, eggs, pre-sliced bread, cheese, ham etc. This worked well enough, although access to a toaster would have improved it. Apart from the excellent location, there was a grocery store next door to the hotel, which was convenient. The hotel was easy to find and easy to get to when arriving. As others have pointed out, there are steep stairs and no elevator, so do not book this if you have trouble with stairs. It was not a concern for me. The staff was nice and friendly. I again say manage your expectations- don't come here expecting a three or four star hotel and all the comforts that come with it. Accept that it has it's flaws, but it's a good enough place to sleep in between the days that you explore Amsterdam.

Clean basic room, beds were comfortable, staff very accommodating and helpful and made sure our family of 5 had rooms together and shared the same bathroom. Breakfast adequate but would’ve liked to have toast but didn’t see a toaster. Would stay again.

Everything was great. Our room was clean and warm I was scared there will be cold at this time of the year.We had shared bathroom ,but only with one other room which was better than we expected. We got clean towels. No noise from the street because we were on the other side and had a balcony. Delicious breakfast. Nice and very helpful staff. I forgot my second Phone in the room when we left and they called me and told me they found it. Albert supermarket right under the hotel . It’s close to the center so you can just walk everywhere and if you don’t want to it’s right across from a tram station. Cat in the reception is the cherry on top 😁😘

The Hotel Abba its in perfect location it’s close everything, more famous places to visit, transportation, restaurants. The room it’s comfortable, clean, shower very good. The breakfast it’s nice. There is coffee, juice and different tea. There is delicious bread and fruit. The staffs are very kind.

Hotel is in a great location, your 10-30 minute walk between everything you could possibly want to do! Room was very very basic. We didn't get any house keeping the 4 nights he was there which I thought was strange as we saw cleaners on our floor 2 days an we also left the sign on our door for it. We also had to ask for fresh towels while we was there. Breakfast was neither here or there for us. But all in all, we'd stay there again. I'd give this hotel 7 outta 10.

Hotel Abba is very well located, just in front of a tram and bus stops and near Leidseplein. Wondelpark and Museumplein are also very close. The single room with bathroom and balcony was very good for a solo traveller like me. Enough space for all of my stuff. Excelent shower but really small sink. Nice and helpfull staff, fast check-in/out procedures. Breakfast was satisfying. Big window and cozy bed. Good value for money. Sheet was not clean at my arrive

Lovely hotel in a great area within reach of most places.steep stairs,but what building in Amsterdam doesn’t.easy check in process,nice friendly staff.the hotel is clean and our room was lovely.we were on the top floor overlooking the Main Street.the room did get very hot( as weather was great)but there was a good fan that we put in front of the bed,and an air conditioning unit we could turn on which made the room nice and cool. Breakfast was ok,would have been nice if there was a toaster,but if people could make toast without burning it,then maybe there would still be one there.nice little outside area from reception,where we could have a smoke 😉.all in all would certainly stay here again, can have no complaints for the price we paid,which was a good price,as Amsterdam seems to be more expensive than ever to stay there.

Está bien para lo caro q es Amsterdam. El desayuno buffet bastante correcto. La limpieza podría ser mejor en las habitaciones, cambian las toallas y hacen la habitación a diario. Si te toca la tercera planta mueres, escaleras empinadas y peligrosas, como en todo Amsterdam . Un poco ruidosa la habitación ya q da a una avenida principal con tráfico, tranvía etc. Bastante céntrico, se puede ir a pie a todos lados. La zona de fumadores o terraza muy agradable pero cierra demasiado pronto, a las 11, debería dejarla hasta un poco más tarde, es un sitio chulo donde descansar después de un largo día de pateo x la ciudad . Asegúrate de coger la habitación en la planta baja o primera planta. Las escaleras son horribles. El colchón de la habitación horroroso, necesita un cambio ya!
