Amelia Island Williams House

When my husband and I chose to stay at Amelia Island Williams House for our first wedding anniversary, we didn't know what to expect. We had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before. We chose Catherine's Chamber and absolutely adored our room - it is exactly as photographed on the website. I had seen lots of praise for Veronica in other reviews, and I 1000% agree. She is the perfect hostess in every way and will go out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and having a wonderful experience. I will absolutely be returning! Veronica, thank you for giving us a perfect weekend.

My husband and I booked an impromptu weekend getaway and by chance was recommended Amelia Island Williams House. Neither of us ever stayed in a B&B, but our love for history and Victorian architecture encouraged us to try something new. We are so happy we did! The Williams House is a beautiful testament to the rich history of Amelia Island, a shining gem meticulously curated by innkeeper Veronica. From our beautiful room, gorgeous grounds, and gourmet breakfasts, everything about our stay was top-notch. We booked a few extras and had a great time eating at a recommended restaurant, taking a boat tour, and going on a picnic packed and planned by Veronica. An added bonus is everything was about a 10-15 minute walk from our room! We can't recommend Williams House, Veronica, and the staff enough. We can't wait to return!

We absolutely loved our too short stay at the Williams Houses. Veronica makes such an enormous effort to make sure that your stay is absolutely perfect. Her breakfast is top-notch, and the bed was one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in. We really enjoyed getting to know the area, and we had a wonderful dinner at Burlingame, which Veronica recommended. Our stay was so much more interesting because we stayed at the Williams houses and not at ordinary hotel down by the beach. Thank you, Veronica.

Drawn to the Amelia Island Concourse, we discovered Williams House. From the gourmet breakfasts to the soft, fluffy robes, you cannot find a more elegant and hospitable place to stay. This place was amazing! As soon as I entered the house I was at an all. The wood work on the stairs, the furniture the layout of it all took me back in time. We stayed in the Egmont Indigo Suite and it was spacious and the bed was super comfy!! Loved our fireplace!! Veronica, was amazing!! She made us the best breakfast every morning. Five star breakfast!! Oh, I can’t forget the location of the house. Walking distance to downtown. I highly recommend!!!

The Amelia Island Williams House is this gorgeous Stick Victorian, meticulously maintained by Veronica and her amazing staff. You open the door to the smell of freshly baked cookies. The credenza is filled with the cookies under glass along with the overflowing candy jar. Veronica is clearly the captain of this ship and she will answer any questions and pays close attention to all of your preferences and needs. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and you will stay full well into the afternoon… Her overnight oats are the best I have ever eaten. Our room was very comfortable.

We spent two marvelous night in the Williams House. The weather was cold and rainy, but the atmosphere inside this historic house was warm and welcoming. The house is very clean, well appointed and decorated by its owner Veronica. Everything, to the smallest detail, is perfect. Breakfast time is a feast. Each dish is delicately prepared and served by Veronica and her attentive staff... a delice.

Absolutely Perfect! Stayed at the Williams House with friends for Christmas 2023 (Dec 23-26). Veronica, the Innkeeper had thought of every detail to make our holiday as delightful and stress free imaginable. Just amazing..... The Christmas package included a local boat ride, a tour of the historic district given by a docent from the history museum in town, an incredible picnic lunch, and two dinners withing walking distance for Dec 24 & 25 so we didn't even have to worry about making reservations. It's located a block from the Fernandina's main street and you can walk everywhere. I parked my car the day I arrived and didn't move it until I was ready to leave. The Williams House is tastefully decorated with attention to making sure you have everything you need--even had more than enough outlets and charging available for electronics which is sometimes lacking. My room was charming, immaculate, quiet and the bed was very, very comfortable. Breakfasts were home made and served by Veronica and her delightful staff--absolutely delicious! Of course if you were hungry during the day there were always freshly baked cookies, hot coffee & hot chocolate too. Already thinking of next year.......

We immensely enjoyed the Christmas Package at Williams House! Our hostess, Veronica, went above and beyond making certain that everything was as near perfect as possible. The location in the Historic District is excellent, our room was impeccable and the breakfasts mouthwateringly delicious!
