Amden and Weesen are among the most beautiful vacation destinations in Switzerland. The Alps, the lake and major Swiss cities are all close by and can be reached quickly, even though you are in the mountains surrounded by beautiful landscapes. In summer, the region around the sparkling Walensee offers a wealth of natural wonders! Some well-known examples include the high Seerenbach waterfalls in Betlis and the car-free wine village of Quinten, which can only be reached on foot or by boat via the Walensee. The region's countless hiking trails of varying difficulties are especially popular with hikers. If you're looking for a change of pace, the cities of Rapperswil on Lake Zurich, Chur, Lucerne and Zurich can all be reached in under an hour's drive.
