Tawi Lodge

Tawi Lodge the 1st stop on my African vacation and it was beautiful! Room was gorgeous, staff was wonderful and the game drives/driver were amazing! The icing on the cake was the watering hole on the property, you can eat meals and watch all the animals come right to you! A massage and facial are a must! I would definitely stay here again!

We stayed here for 3 glorious nights in late June 2024. This was a 5-star experience for us. The lodge and grounds are absolutely beautiful and meticulously maintained. Whoever designed this is a genius of a designer. We stayed in a suite that was absolutely stunning, super spacious, clean, very comfortable and had every amenity we could want or need. We also had amazing views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Our suite was also a few feet away from a watering hole so we saw many animals (elephants, giraffes, baboons, etc) right from our private deck. The staff was caring and attentive and professional. The staff fed us three fabulous meals daily and all our game drives were fantastic with our guide Maina. There is a watering hole adjacent to the beautiful pool area and we thought this was a highlight of the visit to be able to enjoy watching the animals come and rest and bathe. It was absolutely amazing. Thank you to the team Titus, Gladys, Rose, Samuel and others you made our stay unforgettable. Tawi Lodge is a very special place. If you are planning a trip to Amboseli, I highly recommend Tawi Lodge.

Fantastic Lodge all around! We are photographers and birders. Our driver/guide was amazing. To start, we traveled by safari vehicle from the Serena Lodge and saw over 30 giraffes before arriving. Of course we saw elephants, zebra, etc etc. we were lucky enough to encounter “Craig” one of the last long- tuskers twice. The lodge itself is beautiful- shout out to Gladys - food was delicious and they accommodated my need for gluten-free options. Definitely recommend.

I added bunch of pictures which says it all. One of the best lodges we have ever stayed in. We went in June 2024 and couldn't have picked a better spot to stay and go on safari. Staff is very friendly, food is delightful and our guide Henry was awesome. Highly recommend!!

This hotel is a paradise! You have to go! The hotel, the room, the food, the attention, everything is great! A most if you go to Amboseli! Its amazing that animals come to the hotel while you at at the restaurant! Elefants, cebras, giraffes! Great place!

An amazing lodge, rooms are very comfortable, food was excellent and the staff were extremely helpful. The local guides were very knowledgeable and we had some fantastic trips in to the national park. We would thoroughly recommend this lodge, the setting is amazing watching the local wildlife at the water hole from the comfort of your own room.. Staff made me a wonderful birthday cake which was a total surprise! Amazing views of Mt Kilimanjaro from the lodge.

Memorable visit to Tawi. Staff is friendly, rooms are comfortable and the watering hole is a blessing! We saw so many animals between 4:30 and 5:30 in the evening. Imagine seeing 8 giraffes who came together for water! Cautious animals these!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Tawi Lodge! It was the second stop on our 10-day Kenyan safari. Everything about it was perfect. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with wet scented towels to cool down our faces. The grounds were intimate and quiet with beautiful vegetation and landscaping, exactly what we were looking for. Gladys and the entire staff were so kind and welcoming. The food was fantastic, starting with breakfast of fresh cut fruits, cereal, coffee, juice and made to order eggs/sausage/bacon. Then you got to decide between two options for lunch and dinner (both delicious). The dining area overlooks a pool and watering hole where we saw elephants, zebra and giraffe as we ate (incredible!). The rooms were spacious and private. The best part was our guide / driver Tom, who took us on morning and evening game drives in Amboseli, overlooking Mt Kilimanjaro. We saw TONS of elephants, lions, hippos, flamingoes and even cheetah! We also visited a Maasai village and got to meet and interact with the Maasai people. Tom took such good care of us. We loved him! Every time we returned from a game drive we were greeted with the same wet scented towels (a small gesture that felt SO good every time after being in the heat and bush). One special highlight was traveling to the nearby conservancy to see Craig, one of the biggest tuskers and celebrities in Kenya, it was a once in a lifetime experience! We also had an amazing bush breakfast and “sundowner” with drinks and snacks in the bush as we took in the epic sunset. If you plan on traveling to Kenya, you have to see Amboseli National Park (especially if you love elephants) and you MUST stay at Tawi lodge! A very beautiful camp with lovely rooms and main area. Was expecting a quieter camp, great if you have kids, but nonetheless provided all the amenities and food was really good and wait staff at the restaurant. Great guides who did their utmost to find the animals you wanted to see
