Lyndale Guest House

Excellent B&B. Great location, 5 min walk to Ambleside. Very clean. Breakfast to suit all and plentiful, cereal, fruit & juice, toast, tea/coffee and a full English. And a very big warm welcome from the host Alison. Hope to return next year.

Communication from the owner was excellent following booking until departure. A free parking permit was supplied for a public carpark approx 100m away. The room was lovely, warm and clean. The breakfast was superb and the packed lunch excellent. Alison is the owner and does the majority of the work to a very high standard

Lovely place to stay. Located just on the edge of the town, with a 5 minute walk to the main area, a large car park close by. Gives this place the idea place to stay if you like to be away from the noise but within easy reach of town. The guests house is run by a friendly lady who keeps the place very clean and tidy.We had several Runners staying as the park where they start a lot of the runs is just 8 minutes walk.

Alison is a brilliant host , very informative and the guest house is spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the choices vast catering for all tastes .free parting included in the price which is in a local carpark.Lyndale is a 5 minute walk from Ambleside centre.

It is a lovely guest house with a very comfortable room. Breakfast was wonderful with a great variety. Parking is just up the road in a council car park for which you get a pass to enable free parking. As an added bonus this pass also gives free parking in other local car parks like in Ambleside & Grasmere. It's a bit of a walk up to town but that wasn't an issue for us

This is our second time at Lyndale. Spent 3 nights there. Alison was the perfect host as ever and so helpful. Breakfast was fantastic. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Just ideal. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Will gladly be retuning soon. Fang-Fang

This was our first visit to the Lake District and we had a 3-nght stay from 23 to 26 May. The guest house is perfectly situated to act a central point to various sightseeing locations. It is 5 mins from the centre of the town making the shops, pubs and restaurants easily accessible. The car park is literally next door and, upon arrival, you will be given a car park pass that not only allows you free parking throughout your stay but also offers free parking and a reduction in various establishments in the town. We found the room clean and it had all the facilities to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We cannot thank our host, Alison, enough. Her knowledge of the Lake District was instrumental in us deciding where to go, where not to go, what to wear, etc. Alison runs the guest house by herself but she always found time to speak to us - we loved her personal touch. This is a beautiful part of our country and the scenery is something to behold and we will definitely return as there is so much we didn't get round to seeing and exploring. When we do return it will definitely be to the Lyndale and Alison.

This place is a gem. Alison the host is amiable and helpful. The guest house is beautifully decorated and maintained to a very high standard. The breakfasts were great. There is free parking just a stone's throw away. I recommend staying here.

Just back from a 2 night stay as a family of 3 (2 adults and a 10 year old). We cannot praise this guest house enough! Rooms were beautiful, breakfast was delicious with a great choice and the guest house itself was immaculately clean and perfectly located. On arrival we were greeted by Alison who was both friendly and very knowledgeable about the local area. We were given a free parking permit for a carpark literally a couple of minutes away. We also received a 10% discount for some of the local eateries which we tried and enjoyed. We will definitely stay again on our next visit to Ambleside.
