The owner was extremely polite and helpful immediately we walked. The room was clean and equipped as per description. The staff were great and really polite and the bar and restaurant area had a nice a**osphere.
Having dropped our stuff and gone for a walk we checked out some other options to eat but returned to The Strufg Arms. We were not disappointed. I’ve been lucky enough to eat curries in a number of countries. The Railway Lanb was. absolutely amazing. So tasty and depth of flavour was brilliant.
In the morning we were served a full English that was lovely and again all the staff were lovely. I would highly recommend The Strutt Arms which is now known as The Elephant and Peacock.

Very nice rooms and friendly Staff. Down side no food served on a Mondays. Breakfast doesn't start until 7.30 am but on my stay the chief still hadn't turned up when I left at 7.50. Shame as it a nice place.

Excellent overnight stay with breakfast. Friendly staff, good service, clean and comfortable room. Excellent dinner at attached restaurant. Great area for walking too. Thank you

A really helpful and friendly team providing great service.
My dietary restrictions were manged really sympathetically.
The room was freshly redecorated and refurbished to a high standard.
Only issue was a lack of a set of drawers for storing clothes - we kept them in our suitcases on the floor.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel, my only gripe was we had trouble finding it as it’s advertised as The Strutt Arms but it is in fact called The Elephant and Peacock. Everything else was perfect from the time of arrival, the room, the breakfast, the cleanliness and welcoming staff, thank you.

Nice property, clean and modern. Didn’t eat in the evening but food looked good. Nice bar area. Paid extra £7.50 for a cooked breakfast which was cooked fresh, was enormous and very good. Excellent value. Needed a fan in the room due to heat wave and was provided with a new fan which worked effectively. Housekeeping lady very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this property and will return if in area.

All excellent, rooms spotless (only issue room 6 no mirror over or on room table for hair dryer use), Indian meal and brekkers v tasty. Great attentive staff too with free parking and value for money
