Pestana Alvor Beach Villas

This hotel is perfectly located on a gorgeous piece of the Algarve coastline for not only families but visiting golfers alike. The facilities are exceptional, the staff are very friendly, courteous and professional. The rooms, whilst small are lovely, clean and very well serviced daily. A short walk or taxi ride away are numerous restaurants and bars all well worth a visit over the course of your stay. A picturesque long and safe beach is also worth exploring. There are some stunning caves and rock formations to one end and a lovely marina to the other. There are plenty of gift shops to wander round and in with some authentic Portuguese wares. I have visited this hotel on 3 separate occasions over 12 years and haven't been disappointed once.

Lovely hotel...opens onto the beach...staff very attentive.. breakfast fantastic.everything you could want us available. Rooms very comfortable..clean and maintained. Staff couldn't have been more helpful during recent power cut... Excellent hotel. We have been visiting for 7 years.. perfect location

Booked this villa with BA they classed it as a Superior Villa as given by the Agent to them in Portugal and on discussing with Pestana they have informed us they do not do Superior Villas so this was cancelled immediately with BA and now having read the trip advisors reviews we are glad this holiday has been cancelled and we are having deposit returned. Booked holiday in April 2025 to go in July 2025 now cancelled

The Villas are absolutely spectacular. A great space for a family of all sizes. Pestana upgraded us to a bigger villa than we booked out of the kindness of their hearts. The villa was local to the hotel, the pool, the gardens and both access to the beach and out into the street to walk into Alvor (aprox 5 mins walk away). The staff couldn't be more accomodating. I would not hesitate to book this hotel again, if it came up at the right price.

We stayed in villa 49, which was a 2 bed/3 bathroom villa. Accommodation was fine but the smell from the drains in the bathrooms made the villa smell horrible. The ants were veracious and no matter what we did they just kept coming back into the villa in droves. We even found them in the fridge! It was most off putting and we had to put everything in sealed plastic bags otherwise it was attacked by the ants. The kitchen was too dark, no symbols on the microwave/oven to advise whether we had turned on grill/ microwave or oven. No fan or light for the hob so it became hot when we cooked. No frying pan, could only cook basic food. Pool for the villas/apartments was quieter and a nice size but in need of some maintenance. Umbrellas were rusty and broken, beds not as comfortable as the hotel and the pool could do with a refurb. They use salt not chlorine which is really strong and hurts eyes… goggles required! Quiet in the morning but gets busy after lunch. Can use hotel pool but this gets very busy and is smaller than the apartment pool. Staff friendly and helpful, however, no action taken when I reported the issues about villa 49. Location is excellent. Just off the beach, the boardwalk takes you to lovely restaurants. Try windsurf and O’Canterio. Would return to Alvor but not here unless it has a refurbishment.

Wonderful stay and Jessica the receptionist was wonderful to a member of our family that needed assistance along with the other staff we were very pleased with the rooms and services. We will be back again for another delightful stay .. thank you
