Longevity Health & Wellness Hotel - Adults Only

Modern hotel, comfortable room, great breakfast, on the negative site, gym is way too small, not too much equipments some of them not working properly, no water or towels in the morning at 9 am, the sauna at spa was very cold at 50 Celsius until late afternoon. It was an experience but we would not recommend this hotel

This was a beautiful hotel it’s a shame some of the staff don’t like Black people. It’s shocking to say because Portugal has a very wide black community. Anyway me and my friend booked this hotel during Afronation as a way of relaxing after the concert was over. Unfortunately this hotel gave us bad vibes and stress levels were elevated. On the first day we asked for two room keys and for assistance because the air conditioning was not working. We waited 1 HOUR. Nobody came. I had to go downstairs and I spoke to one of the reception staff his name was Telmo ( not sure of the spelling) he was so rude. Zero customer service. I asked him why nobody has attended our room he told me that I had not called. I told him that I had called that’s why I’m here after waiting an hour. Anyway he had the two room cards in his hands for our room and he was laughing and chilling with the rest of the reception staff. I asked him if I hadn’t called then why did he have two room cards for our room? Anyway he was defensive and argumentative. I did not come on holiday to argue with someone especially in a “wellness centre” Secondly, I left my card in my room around lunch time and I went to the restaurant I asked them if they could put the bill on the room. I was told they do not do that. I asked them why? They said it’s their hotel policy. If this isn’t some sort of discrimination/ racism I have no idea what is. What type of alleged 5 star hotel does not bill restaurant food to the room? A day later they told me I could bill anything to the room. As soon as I complained they started acting professional and taking their jobs serious. The attitude towards blank people at the hotel was shocking from some of the staff. There were other black people there at the hotel as well and they complained about similar issues. The food was awful. Not seasoned. Yes the salads and everything was very healthy however the eggs that you had to request were not seasoned. On top of that you had to request seasoned eggs. Beautiful hotel. Poor staff. Zero customer service. Never again

I recently stayed at this beautiful and modern hotel, conveniently located just a 4-minute drive from the beach. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast offered an array of healthy options, which I appreciated. However, I must address a concern regarding cleanliness during our 7-night stay. The bed linens were not changed at all during our visit. While I don't expect daily changes, it would have been nice to see this done at least once in a 5-star hotel. Our room accumulated a fair amount of dust over the week, and it didn't receive a thorough vacuuming. Or any vacuuming at all. This issue extended to other public areas, with noticeable dust collection and dirty floors in elevators, on corridors, the gym and public toilets. In the gym, there was a recurring shortage of towels, and I had to request them on multiple occasions. Furthermore, there was no cleaning spray available for guests to use on the gym equipment. The spa left much to be desired in terms of cleanliness. No towels are given out at the spa. Some people use the sauna without a towel and no one keeps an eye on it. It seemed like there was no active hygiene plan in place at the spa i general. It was evident that the floor hadn't been cleaned for quite some time, and the public spa toilet hadn't seen proper cleaning in weeks (according to the housekeeping schedule on the door), resulting in an unpleasant experience. I did express my concerns, and some rough cleaning was carried out in response. However, I believe that a spa, especially one with a sauna and steam room, where people get really sweaty, should maintain regular and thorough cleaning practices. Even though our stay was during off-season, low cleaning and hygiene standards were disappointing. On a design note, I'm not entirely sold on the fully glass bathrooms in the hotel rooms. While some may appreciate the feature, I personally prefer not to make eye contact with my partner while using the toilet. Overall, this hotel has its merits, including a friendly staff, but my concerns about hygiene make me uncertain about returning for another stay. This is why I could only give it 2/5 stars.

When we arrived, we thought we had found paradise. The building is lovely and the room was very comfortable. But after 24 hours the cracks begin to show. They seem like lots of small things but they add up to a feeling of dissatisfaction. If I was going to guess, I'd say the staff are demotivated to 'go the extra mile' probably due to the senior leadership, but that is only a guess. The positives: The choices are breakfast are delicious, varied and really healthy. I loved all the different fruits and supplements (eg spirulina powder, turmeric) The view from the poolside is gorgeous It's great sitting on the balcony, looking at the view The room was really comfortable. The bed was enormous. The glass bathroom thing is weird but fine if you're a couple who are able to communicate about bodily functions. Awkward for friends sharing. Most of the staff are extremely pleasant There are daily classes of yoga etc. Most of the spa is lovely. The negatives: The poolside cushions aren't taken in at night or during the rain so they remain soggy for longer than is necessary. Yet there are always staff standing metres away in the cafe who could easily do it. They ran out of hot water in the urn at breakfast EVERY SINGLE MORNING. And then say, it takes 20 minutes for the urn to heat up. For heavens's sake if this happens every day, don't you want to solve the problem? If they run out of 'juice of the day' up to an hour before breakfast closes, they don't top it up. It's as if no one is taking ownership for the most basic tasks. (Though one day a man wearing a 'personal trainer' T-shirt was running things and it all went far more smoothly) I emailed in advance to ask if I'd be able to have my dietary requirements met for dinner for 5 nights as I could see there wasn't much on the menu I could eat and I'd rather not bother a chef at the last minute. I was simply sent the menu I'd said in the email I'd just read. We ate there the first night, none of my requirements had been passed on so they made something fine but really bland and salty for me. We didn't eat there again. Quite a few areas of the spa weren't operational and, from other comments, it sounds like they hadn't been for ages. No one in the spa is keeping water glasses stocked. I had to go upstairs to reception to ask for one, having just got out the sauna. No one is enforcing the swimming cap rule. Annoying if you've paid €5 for one and others aren't bothering. One of the female waiters was so incredibly passive aggressive it ruined my lunch and we decided not to eat lunch there again. Luckily I noticed at future breakfasts, she was rude to everyone. There were only 5 coat hangers in our room and when we asked for more, it was as if it was a huge problem. Some days we got water bottles in the room, others not. A couple of days no one cleaned the room, even though we were out all day and had the sign on the door. We really needed to destress and hadn't planned on going very far but due to the restau

We chose this hotel without really looking at the detail of what it had to offer as we needed an end of season break. From the moment we arrived to be greeted by absolute calm and tranquility we started to realise we had simply found paradise. All stresses and worries disappeared and for the first time in a long time we were able to relax and simply be together. The staff without exception were so kind and genuinely warm in the way they welcomed us and did everything they could to make our stay go so well. The whole hotel rang out with soothing gentle music and the wonderful aroma of essential oils, and our room was perfect containing everything you could require to a very high standard. We had gone for breakfast option and boy is there a breakfast! Everything healthy but also just about everything you could want in buffet style. So going to miss them! We also opted for access to the spa not knowing what that meant and again what a perfectly designed facility with towels and gowns provided we made full use of: the jacuzzi pool with its five different sections; the cooler salt water pool; the sauna; the steam room; the Himalayan salt room; the variety of different showers; the calm relaxation room; the loungers both inside an out. The spa was so good that we didn’t get to the infinity pool on the roof. Finally and much to our surprise we found that there were a number of activities put on by trained staff throughout the day (all included in price) so we dipped our toes into crystal therapy, Pilates, yoga, energetic healing, astrology and numerology. Incredible value for money. To have a hotel like this on a holiday when we were also able to have some beach days too was simply heaven and I can say in all honesty we have never felt so relaxed. We can’t wait to come back!

The beds are very comfy , the breakfast is very healthy and very tasty , lovely views from the veranda of the cafe, nice size bedrooms . The spa is lovely with good options . I had to wear swim hat , and togs but for the men swimwear is optional it seems !! NO towels in the spa , get it in main hotel reception before you go down . Spa opens at 11 and closes at 4 on a Sunday. The glass box of a bathroom in our room is a no for me . .

What a fantastic hotel. Room was lovely and the breakfast so healthy and tasty. Staff incredibly helpful and friendly and although rooftop pool was small it was really special. Great location for local beaches. Can’t wait to return and strongly recommend

This hotel needs to decide what it wants to be, a health farm or tourist hotel and cater accordingly. In any case it is not a 5* hotel. Too many minor yet collectively many issues. Dining/drinking options- there is a great rooftop area opening out onto the infinity pool but there is zero atmosphere. It is like a works canteen. There are at least 6 staff present all day yet they need telling the milk jugs are empty, no glasses etc… They do not proactively ask guests if they want anything when sat out in the sun. This would be good for guests and increase revenue. I asked one of the many staff for a pool towel to be told they had ran out and ‘sent’ me to ground floor reception to see if they had any! Breakfast doesn’t start until 8.30!! The rooms are cleaned but again had to ask for towels, toilet roll etc… No toiletries were replenished. The Spa was nice but areas were closed for repairs all week. Public toilets out of order for a week and no way to dry hands in other set, tried disabled toilet to find it used as storage room. It was comfortable and clean and could be so much better.
