Premier Inn Manchester Altrincham

Stayed here before a family holiday before flying from Manchester. This hotel needs so much investment so run down.Rooms small.We had a twin room over looking bins and car park very very basic.We also had a room over looking main road so can here traffic. Been in a lot of Premier inns and normally all nice. Went for a meal downstairs in the pub that's ok nice enough.

Probably the worst Premier Inn I have ever stayed in. Not up to standard at all. The hotel is very dated, not clean, the interior decoration looks like it was done 20 years ago, bashed battered and unloved. I entered my room to the smell of ****, very unpleasant. A right dive. Mould and water stained ceilings in the corridors. The restaurant was just as bad, the service was terrible. Staff disappearing for a good 20nmins, people around me were threatening to walk out as they had been waiting that long to pay. A truly bad experience, don't come here.

The rooms were dated and tired, certainly not what one would expect from Premier Inn. We had 3 rooms, all of which had mould and scuffs aplenty. Location was a positive for our visit.

This is not one of the better Premier Inns. Room we stayed in needs upgrading or at least redecorating. Main issue that we had was that the photo of the room on the website shows that it has a sofa which they do not. The main reason we booked this was on the basis of the photo as my wife and I planned that we would be in the room all evening. Photos should be a true representation of the facilities.

My wife and I visited for the weekend to go watch a tribute band at the nearby Garrick Theatre and stay for a couple od days to explore Altrincham and vicinity. After parking in the free car park of the hote, we were booked in at reception by the very friendly and efficient Aga who is exceptionally good at her job and looked after us brilliantly all our stay. The room was large and the bed very comfortable indeed; everything I've come to expect from a Premier Inn. Breakfast was served in the adjoining George and Dragon Inn and was excellent, and huge; staffed by very attentive helpful staff. We had a most enjoyable stay and will definitely return. The reports of run down rooms and the lack of air conditioning are,that we had seen, in our experience, greatly exaggerated.

We stayed two nights to save travelling on the Friday and Saturday as we were attending the New Order concert in Wythenshawe. The hotel is exactly what you'd expect from a Premier Inn, clean, tidy, efficient. Don't let the outside or the pub attached fool you, this is a nice quite clean hotel. The combination of double glazing and secondary meant there was no traffic noise. We were in a room in the old pub and the ceilings were low with a beam, but we managed to avoid it. Our friends were in the new part and it was fine. The only issues is if you are short you may need a ladder to get into the bath / shower as they are quite high off the floor.
