We were on an “all inclusive” tour when presented with this hotel, first impressions were good. It scores on its location high on a hill opposite the town itself on the opposite hill. However, on detailed inspection, the hotel is dated. The rooms were small and basic. Ours was gloomy and the TV didn’t work nor the air conditioning. You can never be certain how much a tour company dictates what you receive but whilst we found the food acceptable it was not great. There was a limited menu, all pre-booked the day before and served plated. The included wine was little more than “petrol”, absolutely undrinkable. The wine on offer for sale is little better. It is family run and they work like Trojans and are accommodating and friendly. We were looked after very well. Perhaps we were at the end of the season but the hotel looked undermanned with areas blocked off and all in all, uninviting. There is absolutely nothing in the vicinity and to walk to the town on the opposite hill is a hard “slog” and it has very little to offer other than a small church and a viewing square at its peak. The bar was frequently unattended and the lounge gloomy and uninviting. A nice terrace invites but here the service is erratic. Three nights here was more than enough.
