Hotel Cap Negret

Es un gran hotel situado la lado del mar con unas agradables vistas desde la habitación. El desayuno super completo había de todo y estaba muy bien. El personal del hotel profesional y agradable. Las habitaciones limpias y grandes. Lo único que mejoraría son los espectadores nocturnos.

Excellent hotel. Food was lovely with a large choice both at breakfast and evening meal. Staff ran the buffet meals like clockwork. Constantly cleaning and replacing food when dishes became empty. The hotel is situated approximately 10 minutes walk to the left of the hotel to Altea promenade, which is lined with cafe bars and restaurants, all low-key. If you go to the right, you will be in Cap Negret, which has a few small cafe bars and a lovely sea front walk. We stayed in the standard room, which we were happy with. Although it was close to the road and above the car park we had beautiful views of both the beach and the mountain range. The beds were very comfortable and a small fridge is provided in the room with coffee and tea making facilities which are replenished regularly. Rooms are cleaned every day with towels, and bedding is changed constantly. The cleaners are very discreet and only come in when you leave one of 2 signs on the door. It was a very enjoyable holiday and I would highly recommend this hotel. There is a large cycling fraternity, but they were all very well behaved and well supervised

Comfortable, peaceful and welcoming. The staff were all friendly and helpful. My room,320 was clean and comfortable. Although the bathroom looked like it was halfway through been renovated as the walls were not painted just bare plaster. The bath was awkward to get in and out of as it was so deep but that was more down to my left leg problems rather than a design issue. The bed has to be the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve slept in for a long long time. The view although spectacular was disappointing at the same time because it had no view to the right due to the position of the room and it also meant that the sun disappeared from your balcony after lunch which I was not happy about having paid so much extra for an uninterrupted sea view! There was a good choice of food on offer at breakfast and each evening although again inconsistencies with different staff. Still water first 3 nights no charge then 4th night some male waiter wants me to sign for it and advise cash or card. Told him neither as I’d not been asked to pay up to now. He was so insistent that the lady at the next table handed me one of their unopened bottles as they had not been charged and said I could have theirs. Then the next night the same thing happened but I did not pay. On the other nights to save the embarrassment I purchased a drink from the bar and took it into dinner with me. The hotel was extremely busy but having said that it was still peaceful and it really is in the perfect location to explore this area of Spain. Using the local public transport is easy cheap and reliable too. A perfect way to spend Christmas on your own.
