Aloe Boutique Hotel & Suites - Adults Only

I chose this hotel for two weeks’ holiday in May 2025. It was a good decision. Location: Almyrida is in the western part of the island of Crete. This hotel is almost at the end of the village and a few minutes’ walk from another village, Plaka. Reception: As my flight to Crete had been changed to a very early morning departure, I arrived at the hotel well before check-in time, but my room was ready and I was given a warm welcome, complete with a glass of prosecco. Accommodation: My room was modern, spacious, and well appointed, with a sea view. The bathroom was nice, though I don’t think I’ll ever get used to the phenomenon you encounter in many parts of Greece of not being able to flush used toilet paper away down the toilet. Food and drink: I was on half board, so the food selection at dinner was a bit limited. It was delicious and well prepared though, and the drinks were equally good. The breakfast buffet was good and varied. Amenities: The pool area is pleasant but a bit cramped. There’s a wellness suite too and I had a good massage there. Service: Here, only the highest praise will do. The staff in all departments were magnificent – friendly, helpful, well informed, interested. I can’t find a bad word to say about any of them. All in all, this was a very good choice for my holiday. I would have no problem staying here again.
